If it weren't for the price of the hotel, I would have rated it a 2 or 3-star, but it is nearly unheard of to get hotel rooms this cheap anywhere in the States, so for that, I am willing to overlook the downsides for the savings (though that doesn't mean I'm not going to mention them).||The biggest issue was that it was 113 degrees outside the day we arrived and when we got to our room around 830pm, we discovered the AC had been turned off all day! I requested a fan from the front desk, as it would be hours before the room cooled down to a level comfortable enough to sleep in. They have NO FANS for guests to use. They also confirmed that it is their standard practice to leave AC off. So...plan your stay to where you can check in to turn on the AC in your room & then head out to dinner or something else for a few hours to give it time to be tolerable.||The bathroom is tiny and the towels have seen better days, but again...the price...you truly get what you pay for. Read moreIf I could give it less than 1 star I would I would give it negative stars. Upon arrival there was ALOT of people coming in and out of different rooms. Then when I went in to tell them I wanted to cancel the front desk clerk said I couldn't cancel without paying for one night's stay. So when I pulled out my wallet to get the money to pay which was 34.99 I pulled out 40.00 and the clerk stated " oh I wore the wrong pants." This place is so sketchy for a couple dollars more you can stay at the Ramada which is way better. Oh let's not forget the rooms had no curtains and the bedspread and white sheets were filthy nasty. Read moreLocation: Located on the famous historic route 66 in Barstow, we opted to stay at this place as a stop over before heading to Los Angeles on our way from the Grand Canyon. ||||The highlight of the this place is the old vintage cars parked in the front yard. Though they are rusting, you cant help admiring them.||||Room: Our room was basic with 2 single beds, air conditioner, microwave, refrigerator, couple of chairs and a small round coffee table at the corner with TV for entertainment.||||Bathroom: Maintained neat and clean with a bath tub.||||Free car parking is available in front of the room as its a mezzanine floor only. So, carrying baggage inside rooms is made easy.|| ||Overall, pretty reasonable tariff and okayish place to stay...
