Checkout - 2025-06-16 Checkin - 2025-06-15 No issues booking through the Marriott app. Communications through the Marriott app were good. Arrived to a 100% full parking lot except for 2 handicap spaces. Check in process was ok, received key for the room and asked about parking issue. Was told we could park in walk way between 2 handicap spaces with cars in them or take one of the other handicap parking spaces. Opted for the space between two parked cars as we didn’t want to impact any possible handicap folks. As for the parking issue per the desk clerk seems 33% of cars were over flow from the church event across the street. Guess the signs saying the parking lot was for Fairfield hotel guest or your car would be towed did not pertain to church folks and the hotel did not want to tow cars. Sad for the hotel guests. Sounded lovely me this happens often. Management needs to make the guests of the hotel a priority. There was zero soap in the bathroom to wash your hands with. Went down to the front desk to get soap ( should not have had to do this). Could not figure out how to turn off the AC so ended up having to cover the vents with a towel and pillows ( should be simple on/off temp up or down). Out for an early run Monday morning at 5am’ish ( and yes lots of parking spaces available at that time of the morning). Part way thru the start of my run needed to use the bathroom. Back to the hotel to use the bathroom off dining area, OH WAIT they were looking caked and tape over them out of order REALLY!!!!!! There is zero reason to have both bathrooms out at the same time. Oh wait did they not want church goers coming in to use the bathrooms??????????? Breakfast was the normal expected breakfast, nothing special. All in all would we stay here again, No, there are other Marriott options up and down the highway and will select those from now on.

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was kinda ok stay, just if you are here to sleep. - The odd part was they dont even provide drinking water. -The king size room is spacious with all required items like -hair dryer -iron -TV -desk and chair for work -cupboard -cooling/heating machines are old and noisy - They dont even offer toiletries like tooth brush toothpaste etc till you ask for it, if you ask they can offer you. - Drinking water is chargeable and no other water available for drinking water. - location is fine and near to major offices and a couple of eating options nearby -Breakfast is just normal and minimal, nothing fancy or great about it -Overall kinda ok stay if you want to just spend a night -The negative I experienced was that my washroom was not refilled and body wash not present while I had started taking shower, well it was frustrating duh

Hotel is dated and run down. Booked a king suit with a pull out couch. The pull out was a twin which was tight for our kids, never had that small a pull out in a hotel. There was an old school CD player with speakers in the couch area which was interesting. Pool area was OK but again, run down with patched tiles, ripped out water fountain area from the pandemic that was never repaired, and furniture from what looked like the 70s. Breakfast was OK, there was a space for a waffle station but it wasn't set up. All the hot items had eggs which wasn't great for my wife who has an egg allergy. I would probably stay in Springfield next time.

Situated only about an 8 minute drive from the ISU campus this hotel offers many amenities at a great price point. Property is homey with a friendly vibe. Check in is super easy especially with the Marriott app! I was able to check in mid day for our room and the app informed me when my room was ready. We didn't get to this property until very late the eve of our arrival but were still greeted with a friendly hello and expedited check in. The lobby is clean, neat and updated. While we didn't use the pool or fitness areas both seemed clean and in good working order. We had a 1 bedroom king suite which was clean and updated also. The room is really 1 large suite area- not a separate bedroom which anyone wanting that privacy should know. The living room area had a comfy couch and chair along with its own TV. The suite comes with a mini-frig and microwave. There is also a coffee maker. The bathroom was larger than some we've been in with plenty of counter space and good lighting for makeup application etc. The shower is updated. Beds here were super comfy with plenty of pillows. A thermostat controls the temp in both areas. The forced air heating was a touch loud but nothing crazy. The free breakfast buffet was pretty standard as hotel breakfast buffets go but a nice selection and all food was nicely laid out. There is even a waffle maker for fresh waffles which is always my favorite indulgence at a hotel buffet. Dining area was clean with plenty of seating and a TV to watch the news etc. Check out was a breeze. Staff here is friendly but told us the Parents Day weekend at ISU for 2019 is already completely sold out so know that if your going for an event at ISU - book ahead. This hotel is a cheaper option to the big Marriott that is closer to campus but honestly the commute is quick so save the money...

First of all…. for the first time in a long time, I do not have any pics for my review. My wife and I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Bloomington because it was one of the closest hotels we could find for graduation at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The first night we got to the hotel, we were greeted by the friendliest and most helpful person in the world working behind the desk. The room was super clean. The bed was comfortable. Everything was great… But we woke up in a hurry in the morning… go to get in the shower… NO shower curtain! So we pointed the shower heads towards the wall and took our showers. On the way out, I told the morning lady at the front desk that we had no shower curtain… and the TV only got 3 channels. When we got back that night we went our room and there still wasn’t a shower curtain and the TV still only got 3 channels. So, I went downstairs and talked with another lady at the front desk. I told her what had happened. She apologized and said she will be right up with a shower curtain…. And fix the TV. 5 minutes later she knocked on the door with a new shower curtain. We hung it up (I had to help, she was vertically challenged 😂) Later that night I needed some bottled water. The elevator was out of order. So, I walked downstairs using the stairs. I could tell the lady at the front desk was not happy about the elevator, but never stopped smiling. I would give the guy that greeted us the first night and the lady that brought us our shower curtain and fixed the TV… 10 stars! Incredible customer service and they were happy, friendly, helpful… and smiled. The breakfast was delicious! They said they are getting ready for a huge remodel in June. I would highly recommend this hotel… especially if you like...
