Expensive for the quality of the room. Stains on the bedding, and a questionable towel hung up in the bathroom on a hook, not a rack or towel bar - we've stayed in a lot of hotels at all price points and have never had a towel displayed that way upon check in as that's typically a sign it's been used. If this is the way they store their towels, I strongly recommend that be changed. The only indicator that it might not have been used by the last person in the room was a dead fly stuck to it. Yuck.
You are right by an airport, and there was take off / landing noise, at least in our exterior room accessed from the back parking lot. I would imagine the interior rooms have less airport noise so you might request that if you're a light sleeper.
Not female friendly as far as getting ready goes, pretty tight bathroom quarters and all three mirrors in our room were located in the same area, not spread throughout so people could easily get ready at the same time, even though there would have been room to accommodate that.
Our room was shared with another couple and I did appreciate that the room had an L shaped layout with a bed on each side of the L, offering a bit more privacy than the typical rectangular room with beds side by side would offer.
There was a breakfast offered which was nice but it was also a typical hotel breakfast. Fake hotel eggs, bread and bagels for toasting, cereal, oatmeal and toppings, a bowl of fruit, Sunny D style orange juice. They did have waffles you could make yourself which were pretty good, and sausage patties I didn't try. Not my personal cup of tea but it is complimentary.
I wouldn't stay here again as there are a lot of others to try at the same price point in this area. If the price was lower I wouldn't have any issues but at the $100 price point I'm going to nit-pick. Our room should've been $80 absolute tops - not worth the $100 we paid, and I believe they list rooms online for even...
Read moreThis was a terrible stay. The desk attendant was very rude. She gave us the strangest rooms at first. They opened directly into the lobby, and the only windows were s back into the lobby. It smelled strongly of dog, and the lining on the desk chair had been chewed on all the way around. Our daughter is very allergic to pet dander and has asthma, so this was a concern in addition to the terrible smell. The attendant just acted very annoyed when we complained, and told us it couldn't be a dog because it was a pet-free hotel. Instead of wanting to make us satisfied, she acted like it was a great burden to get us different rooms. We got two different rooms, and one of the doors would not stay latched unless you locked it from the inside. So when you were out of your room anyone could open it from the outside. Later, we were in the pool playing as a family and minding our own business. Three teenage girls left the pool, and a short time later the same desk attendant came to the pool, clapped her hands and made an announcement that no bullying or harassment would be tolerated, and that there had been a report of such in the pool. I told her there hadn't been any problems in the pool while we had been there. She pointed right at me and said in a mean voice that if it happened again, me and my family would be kicked out of the hotel. Not just the pool, but the hotel. There was another family in the pool who looked surprised, and could have been consulted as witnesses, but there was no attempt at anything like that - just accusing us of harrassing someone, when there was no proof and nothing had happened. This was a...
Read moreRooms were nice. I enjoyed the layout of the beds instead of the typical hotel layout. Beds were comfortable pillows, not so much, not enough support, to soft and fluffy. There are plenty of outlets and ports to recharge electronics.
Staff was mostly friendly, although the night person was very concerned about anyone being in the foyer areas or common areas. Asked both nights of our stay if I was at guest at the hotel because I was talking to my wife while sitting on the patio or had sat on the couches in the lobby for a minute to gather my thoughts. This is the only place I have stayed where the pool area is open until 10:30 pm, but the foyer or lobby is off limits after 9 pm.
Breakfast was nice but not well stocked. No biscuits one morning had to use English muffins for biscuits and gravy. The next morning, there was no juice except orange juice and no bacon or sausage to go with the eggs. Have to use coffee cups for juice seems unnecessary but glad hotel offers juice and not just coffee. The yogurt dispenser was new to me.
Pool and hot tub were nice and enjoyable places to relax. The fitness room required entrance with room key even though it is in the pool area, which is only accessible with the room key, which seems very redundant. There are no dining establishments near the hotel, but plenty of them throughout Boise. There is no elevator for accessing the second floor, but don't avoid the stairs by sitting on one of the couches or chairs in the foyer because the receptionist doesn't want guests hanging out in those areas. There's plenty of parking around the hotel, close to the airport...
