I'm only giving this two stars because the owner/manager was actually helpful. I've stayed at several Days Inn before, and I've never seen one so run down. When I checked in, the older lady was sweet, but she needed the assistance of the younger lady to check me in. Fine. The younger lady came along and completed the check in, she said I hadn't paid. Confused, I said "Ok let me check" as I had been double charged in the past before by a different hotel, and I usually pay up front. As I'm looking for the transaction, she rudely says "You know I've done this a lot and I can tell you that the room isn't paid". I said "Ok well I'm going to verify anyway on my end if that's ok?". I hadn't, that was on me, I authorized the transaction. As I'm waiting for my key, the women are arguing about which rooms are clean and which are not. At this point, I'm starting to get a little frustrated, I've been driving for 12 hours and just want the room I booked. I finally receive the key and go into the room. It was two twin beds, I asked for a single bed. I told the younger front desk woman, she said "Well that's all we have" and I said "Well that's not what I reserved, I'd like a refund." She proceeded to argue with me about obtaining a refund. The owner/manager came up and then offered me a different room with the single bed I requested, shutting the younger woman up. I went into the room, it was filthy. There was piss on the toilet with pieces of corn in it, the sink had hairs and pubes on it, the floor definitely had not been vacuumed, there were pubes in the sheets, there was a fly zooming around, it was so gross. I came out for a third time, the younger woman was nowhere to be seen. The elder lady and the owner/manager offered me a king room, she checked it for me, and then provided me with the key. This new room was much more clean and reasonable, smelt better too. This experience was pretty stressful, they could definitely clean and get rid of the lady with the attitude. Owner/manager and elder lady were very nice...
Read moreThis is getting a star because it is the ONLY hotel in Booneville that will allow a large greater than 100 pound dog, gentle giant. Checked in, front desk clerk was on his cell phone, never hung up. I asked for dog friendly room. Barely told us where room was located and offered no more information. Settled in room only to discover it smelled like smoke, had stale beer in the bottom of the trash can and water to toilet was turned off. Turned on water to toilet and discovered it had been turned off because it wouldn’t stop running. Went to desk to request new room. Settled into new room. Found tv remote had been chewed up. Took remote to desk because we didn’t want them to think our gentle giant was the chewing party. Front desk clerk no where to be found. Left remote. Later discovered only way to turn Tv off was unplug it, may have had something to do with remote I left at the desk.
Fast forward to morning… go to front desk to explain I had left remote, was basically chastised and told there was no problem as clerk said she didn’t know my name, nor what room I was in. She also didn’t ask. I was however asked if I paid $20 pet fee. I told her they had my cc and I had requested a pet friendly room and clerk had physically seen 100+ pound dog and I had booked through the Bring Fido app. I definitely didn’t try to sneak said gentle giant into a room. Dog and I sat in lobby for a while having a cup of coffee and morning clerk eventually warmed up to him and brought him treats.
Bright side, there was plenty of green space to walk dog.
Would I recommend this hotel? Only if you have zero other options. Will we stay here again? Probably because there are no...
Read moreWhen you walk in the front the lobby is so hot and humid! We booked online and requested a crib, the website said they had cribs available. They did not. Tried to up charge for an extra bed. Get to our room and we had 2 bath towels. The towel they put on the side of the tub for the floor was nasty. The bottom of the tub had cracked at some point and looks like they had tried to seal it. It was in fact not sealed. The crack moves when any weight is on it and pinches you. The sheet on the bed was nassssstttyyy!! Dried nasty on the sheet bed side down. I went to get a new sheet and blanket and when I was waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes I was miserably hot. The bathroom is gross. There is no cover over the light fixture just wires and spider webs. The toilet paper holder was detached from the wall and rusted. The biggest concern was the latch lock at the top of the door didn’t work properly. We had to figure out a way to fix it to keep locked. It is super noisey throughout the night. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom and the sheet on the bed were so bad. Glad the place is next to food options so we didn’t have to eat the breakfast that was out. The fruit was not in the best condition and after how the bathroom was and the sticky counters at the lobby I wouldn’t want to use the stuff out. When we checked in the two guys at the front were speaking in a different language instead of assisting people checking in. Pretty unprofessional.
We assumed since it was with Wyndham it would be to their standards. It was not. Wouldn’t recommend...
