I would stay here again. Even though there is restrictions d/t covid-19, the rooms were nice and I get a good night sleep and the view is breathtaking. On a clear day- you could see everything on the horizon for a long distance if you have a room on the south side of the building, and of course the rock formations and the iron ore next door. This rating will go up to a 5 if the breakfast buffet comes back for next year. Thanks for a wonderful time.
UPDATE: 8/16 thru 8/19/21....thanks for bringing back the breakfast buffet. Good job.
UPDATE- 8/15 thru 8/18/23 Advice to staff, when reservations are made and the comments state..we need to have rooms on the lower level, just honor that request instead of choosing to misunderstand and letting able bodied people have the first dibs on lower level rooms, not the best way to treat handicapped people even though you have an elevator, and also you do not dictate how people should make reservations, if they want to make such requests via online via Wyndham, let them...no excuses- it just makes life easier. Minus two stars!
UPDATE- 7/16 thru 7/19/24 Excellent improvement from last time..no one gave me problems and the breakfast was still plentiful, don't change a thing...back...

Please train your front desk how to charge a card using the prior authorization. After booking a room for an discounted rate for "prepaying" for a room we were turned away upon arrival because the lady at the desk tried to charge us another time. So we're out a hotel room for the trip we were on, and they are still holding our money at the bank from the hold they put on the card. And the credit union is closed on Sunday. When my husband called the hotel about the issue the next day after they turned us away they told him to call the 1-800 number, which all we can do is file a formal complaint against the hotel.
Words cannot express what it's like to be turned away from your hotel room in another state with 3 kids, while they're holding all the money for the hotel on your card and you can't afford another one. Until this hotel gets it together and can properly train their staff they're putting a charge on all the cards on top of the authorization which is double charging them until the hold falls off in about a week. What a complete nightmare they're creating for...
Read moreWe were on a road trip for 16 days. Stayed in 16 different hotels in 16 towns. This was by far the worst stay we had. The guests in the room above us stomped on the floor from 9 pm to 11:15 pm. We called the front desk at about 10:15 and asked her to do something. She said she didn't have any other rooms and there is nothing she can do. I asked if she could talk to them. She sounded angry but said she would try. She hung up on me mid sentence. I called her back after a 10 minutes and told her I'm not sure what she told them but it got worse. They were really jumping and stomping now. She said there is nothing she can do. I said fine, I'll go up there and resolve the issue myself. The clerk was knocking on the door of my room in less than a minute. She said she had another room but it was a pet room. Since I have cat allergies that wouldn't work. The upstairs idiots made sure we were awake at a little after 6 am. We decided to just pack up and leave and were welcomed by a shower clovered with hair from the last guests in it. $150. Never another...
