So we traveled to this location to hear nothing but Planes Trains and what sounded like gunshots in the middle of the night all weekend long. To begin, the reason we chose this location was for the beach obstacle course it looked inviting because the slides and Waterpark weren't the best considering all the Yogi Bear locations that we've been to, we switch it up every couple of years, so far we've been to the locations in Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Virginia, and also New Hampshire. But again the obstacle course looked great so that's why we chose it however when we arrived we discovered that it is not included in the cost of your site, which I will say is more costly than the other locations we've been to. It is $17 an hour which cost just my group in my sight $100 for one hour. So again we are not pleased so when we arrived we set up and that's where we start to hear the planes, our site was pretty much the landing strip for the local airport it is so loud it's almost obnoxious, so finally we finish setting up we're all exhausted for we did just do a 14-hour drive then we hear it, we hear the trains the hunk of the train we actually all start laughing it was like out of the movie My Cousin Vinny, but just like in the movie we be grew accustomed to the noise. So then we get to Thursday on Thursday a very large group arrives they take up at least six campsites there had to be well over 50 people in the group, very nice very, friendly we talked to several of them. However that night they have a party, it seems as if it was someone's birthday we were fine with that we just turned our music on and enjoyed; in fact at one point we decided we were going to do the wobble in hopes of being invited over because it did look like they were having fun unfortunately our dance moves were not good enough and we were not invited so we sat around the fire listening to music some of us got up and had some snacks over at the picnic badge when this employee comes from around the corner tells us that our music is too loud, which were like really there's a giant party going on around us and you're coming to our site, then she proceeded to say I smell weed who has the weed I smell it someone has it and we all look at her in astonishment, and I forgot to mention since the party arrived the entire Campground turned into a hot box literally you could get stoned just walking through the campground. Then she proceeded to tell us that it is a good night to call the cops and we literally turned to her and said go ahead we have nothing here smell the rest of the campground and go over to the giant party happening right now. So as we named her the drug sniffing Karen finally goes away and drives over to where the party is actually happening doesn't get out of the car and says anything just sits there. So that party goes on till at least 2 a.m. and finally Cops start to drive around the campground so the noise from the party finally subsides we all finally start to close her eyes and then the shots happen it sounded like gunshots could have been a firework, but it proceeded to go on till 4 a.m. every 30 minutes. And it didn't just happen that night that happened every night on until we left on Sunday and every night it went off every 30 minutes to every hour till 4 in the morning oh, so between the Planes Trains the partying and drug-sniffing Karen's there was not a lot of rest to be had at this location. Another point I must add is again we travel all over to different yogibear location and out of them all the amount of free activities for the kids is very minimum at this location so by the time you're done leaving between the obstacle course the yogibear store and the activities you have to pay for you spend a very large Fortune, Plus the high price of the sites. Also the cleanliness of the park so the bathrooms in the middle part of the park were atrocious, I saw them being cleaned two times since we've been there, now they could have been cleaned other times I just didn't see it and honestly it didn't look like it the...

This was our first time visiting YogiBear and we will highly rethink before visiting again due to our negative experience. We booked multiple sites as we were visiting with friends (all first time campers at Yogi). Unfortunately, a month prior to our bookings, 2 families had to cancel. We called on a Thursday to cancel and specified the numbers of the 2 sites we were cancelling. We were aware of their cancellation booking fee and agreed to pay that amount. We were told they would make sure the other sites remained unchanged. The next day there was still no refund pending so I called again & left a VM. The weekend & Monday came by & still no refund. I called once more and was told “let me remind my manager to cancel them.” All 3 times I called I specified the only 2 sites to be cancelled. Later that evening I found out that 1) not only was my reservation not refunded but 2) they cancelled all other reservations we had made and that’s not the worse part 3) i was charged an additional $288 to a different card without my consent. Since clearly speaking with someone on the phone was not efficient at all I decided to drive up there. Upon arriving I requested to speak to a manager to help me resolve this issue as I had a already attempted 3 times over the phone & I was told “like I told you over the phone this has already been taken care of.” I literally had to show them how not only was my refund not even pending but I still had an additional $288 charge. Upon realizing the huge mistake that had been made & that this was something they could not solve they asked me to wait a few minutes for the reservations manager. We waited outside and saw the manager walk by so I walk in right behind her. I over hear the front desk staff summarize the scenario to the manager, (not realizing that I am the client this is about) the manager says “this will have to wait because I have a fiasco going on outside” so I sit and wait outside again to literally see her just greet somebody and then she walks back inside and then the front desk tells her that I was the one that needed this resolved so then she finally tells me that this is something that they will have to call their booking company for she said I’ll give you a call tomorrow. She never gave me a call the next day. I decided to give it a few days, she never called me back, so then about 4 days later, my husband tells me that there was a refund posted to his credit card, which was completely different from the card to which the additional charge was posted to! At this point we decided to leave it at that because clearly they don’t know what they’re doing. This lack of attention to detail is so unappealing. At this point we didn’t even want to go. But, afraid of going through this all over again we decided to keep our reservation and see how it went. When we arrived we were held up quite awhile because they couldn’t find our reservation and when I showed them our confirmation email they said okay let us look for your welcome packet. They literally had two people looking for our welcome packets only to realize they weren’t made. So they went inside to make us some. At this point we’re already feeling highly unwelcome.
Water & electricity are shared
As to the bathrooms: there were 2/4 toilets out of service for a whole day. The water in the showers is extremely hot.
On our first night there, there was an incident where a child had a knife and pointing it at kids on the trampoline! The cops came later that night and the child was removed from the campground but the rest of the family stayed.
All night you will hear trains and planes. Quiet time is supposedly at 11pm, how ever there were people laughing very loudly and talking way past 12am.
In conclusion, yogi bear started off with a bad impression we don’t think we will be back and if you’re considering a visit make sure you don’t cancel as getting your refund...
Read moreSo let me start by saying my family and I camp a lot and have done for a number of years all across the US So I have a good understanding of what to expect from a campground. Overall this is a nice campground; they are expanding and have a large new area with me cabins. So why the low score then? Well my forst issue is that for such a large campground they have neglected the facilities that non cabin guests use. The bathrooms were not sufficent for the number of guests, in addition they were not in a good state. There was no cleaning schedule posted and I went in at various times of day amd the smell at times was unbearable and at least twice there was no toulet paper. I understand on weekends its goung to be busier than normal; with that in mind I would expect additional cleaning and maintenence. Also very poor facilities for washing dishes, whem you have a huge tent area this is somethong I would expect to be better. So gping back to the large new area of cabins; they have a beautiful man made lake with with a water based inflatable obstacle course and swiming area. I was really impressed by this and me and my family signed up for a time slot to use the ibstacle course. We paid about $16 per person for the hour. A few of my family booked a painting session prior to this, the painting over an because the teacher started late and for some reason had people take a break in the middle of a 1 hour session! Because of this we were late to our obstacle cpurse session. As soon as we got thwre we went up and explained and after a wait we eventually got onto the course, because of the delays we had maybe 7 or 8 mins on it. I explained this to the life guard who said no problem, wait here and you can attend the next session because its only half full. Great, wr we waited for 10 mins for the next group akd only them were told we had to go and speak with the manager. Ok I guess, so we swam back and waited to speak to a manager. We explained why we had been late and we were just hoping to get a little lobger on the course. The manager was really rude and basically said tough we dont make exceptions. No apology, no working with us, nothing. The session we were asking to go on was only half full and would cost them nothing to have us attend. We had signed a waiver and followed the rules. Basically this campground was super busy and it appears that they dont really care how happy guests are because they dont need to. Honestly thats not a good long term plan and I think it will backfire. I would have loved to have written a 5 star review but the reality is they don't deserve it, I had thought about emailing management about this but after talking to a manager I dont see the point. I'm sure this review will fall on deaf ears becayse as I said I'm just one small voice and they are...
