Great as always! We drove over 5 hours and planned an entire weekend literally around these exact lights! The lights are 100% synchronized to the radio station they air. Like to the point that the fish dance perfectly to the beat, or the candy cane trees have lights capable of fading and dancing with very rhythm. No matter where you are in the drive it will flow with the music playing. Other drive thru lights have their own music stations but none can beat how well this one is synchronized!! The line to get in was a bit long (like down the road where cops were at a traffic light to help direct traffic as needed) but it moved fairly quickly. Once you get to the front entrance if you pre-purchase the ticket online ($30/car) you will be directed to one of two lanes on the right (short lines). If you need to purchase with cash you will be directed to the left. If you purchase online please either print the ticket or have it ready on your phone (screen brightness up). It will make the line go quicker! Also please do everyone a favor and turn off headlights (newer models likely will have daytime running still on but turn off whatever you can otherwise it blinds the drivers in front of you). From the point our ticket was checked to when we ended, it took after 30 minutes. At the end we parked and went in to see Santa. For $10 you could get a printed photo with Santa, or for $3 donation you can take your own photo. We opted for the donation (paid extra above $3) only because the printer was taking quite awhile to print and we had 2 young kids already way past bedtime. There is also a gift shop to purchase...
Read moreWe’ve been coming here with our kids for nearly a decade, both for camping and for the Carnival of Lights. I put on a pretty intense light show at my house, and this is still such a thrill for us and totally worth the hour drive to get there. This year’s light show is re-routes and expanded to cover more of the park, and traffic flows so much better utilizing both park entrances. The show itself is amazing. A terrific mix of handmade cutouts lit by floodlight, wireframes, hundreds(thousands?) of trees wrapped in lights, and literally hundreds of thousands of lights dancing in time with music played through the car radio. The new display pieces honoring first responders were terrific. And the final tunnel at the end of the show is insane! Tens of thousands of pixels creating mind blowing images as you drive through was a great finish. We stopped in afterwards at the shop so the kids could get a treat. It was awesome to have the snack shop open serving their full camping season menu. Also tons of really great seasonal clothing items were on display as well. The price is on par with other drive-through displays we’ve been to, but this is the only one we are guaranteed to come back to year after year. Just like with the campground, it’s always clear to see that ownership takes pride in what they’re presenting, and they’re always investing time and money into improving it. Thanks again for a...
Read moreWow!! Now I love these lights and try to find these locally around southeastern Wisconsin and by far these lights are the best lights I have seen around. The lights are coordinated, the whole route is full with decorations. (On a Jellystone campground site) Even the ground is decorated in areas. You can tell they put a lot of money into the lights with digital coordination. I came at 5 when they started and by the time I left it was filling up quickly. I didn't stop by the shop and concession but they had wine and whisky flights, catering to adult fun as well. I like the other one (I won't name it) near Pewaukee but for the same price of 30$ per car.. this one is much better. You can do scheduled tickets for 30$ per car but I'd recommend 35$ for the all day pass. You can run multiple times through it and come anytime with the all day pass. The even have a season pass for 75$. I would have done that had I known of this one earlier in the season. You can also do sleigh rides and golf cart rides if you can bundle up or find a warmer evening. I would recommend better music than the FM they run, but an easy fix with Bluetooth-ing your own music. If you are going to pay for only one drive through Christmas lights, this is the...
