Josh and Kaylee, husband and wife, owners of Big Tex Campgrounds in Ben wheeler are so kind and welcoming. They both tend to this property in such a passionate and endearing way that it makes you feel a little fuzzy and warm inside and itâs because they are putting their heart and sweat into the place! Josh and Kaylee have literally built this wonderful campground from scratch! It was just one big forest when they purchased the land! And the best part is they are continuing to build it out! Their future plans include a small lake, a volley ball court and other great site improvements for us families to enjoy! The mornings and evenings here are very serene! âď¸đď¸đłđŚ đŞľđĽI know itâs a bit further south east but after seeing what I could get closer to dallas I have to say itâs way worth it! The host Melia is just so kind and accommodating that I dare to use the word fabulous because thatâs all sheâs been. The guardian/custodian Ken cares for and watches out for the place like we are all friends and family! Iâll post...

Read moreWe have been staying at this campground for a couple of months now and absolutely love it. It's full of beautiful landscaping, flowers, and TONS of wildlife. We just recently got handstained picnic tables done by the staff members and they are SO nice, allowing us to sit out and eat dinners or enjoy the sunset outdoors in the evening. The shade really helps with the summer heat.|It's very dog friendly, and they are working on a dog park right now that we are so excited for. We are long termers and this location is awesome for where my husband works and it also is real easy to get to Dallas from here too. Definitely recommend for long term stays but also really nice place for anyone visiting the Canton trade days because it's just far enough to be away from all the traffic and quiet for after doing...
