If I could give 10 stars for service I would. My husband and I were exhausted after traveling and we decided to stay in Carrington. What would have been a nightmare was a great night. I booked the jacuzzi room because, well, who wouldn't want a jacuzzi after traveling for 8 hours. It was being fixed and not currently working (totally not their fault), and Wendy worked so hard to find us one anywhere in town but there was a huge basketball tournament and almost every room was booked! So here I am thinking this is going to be awful. Teenagers everywhere, no jacuzzi, and we're too tired to go anywhere else. But Wendy was so nice, told us where to eat, made sure coaches were in a room above us (quiet), and to ring if we needed anything. She double checked our room before we even got there, and swiftly checked us in. The room was spotless, spacious, and Wendy is a gem. Would definitely stay again....
Read moreIf I was rating the cleanliness of the hotel, I would have have rated this hotel a 5 out of 5 and if I was rating the Customer Service level at this hotel, I would have rated it a 1 out of 5. I arrived at 1:00 and said, by any chance would I be able to check in early? The same front desk lady said (in these exact words) "I don't know, who are you?" After I told her my name, she said "nope, it will be at least 45 minutes." So I came back at 2:00pm and the room was ready (after of course waiting at the desk for 15 minutes until someone came to help me.) The breakfast was what I would expect from a limited service,...
Read moreIn almost every facet of my two stays at the Carrington Inn, the staff and management have been really poor for small town North Dakota where customer service and understanding are typically top-notch. First, this motel gave me a non-smoking room that smelled terribly of cigarette smoke and had to deliberate for several hours before finally letting us change rooms. The second stay was far worse, when due to weather we could not get to our motel room on the first day and they refused to refund us even with 4 days of for-warning. Do yourself a huge favor and stay at the Chieftain or the Cobblestone when in the small town of Carrington, ND. The Carrington Inn is a bottom tier motel, and I've stayed in well over a hundred...
