What a fun, casual, family friendly place to eat. They have a great buffet, with fantastic fried chicken...yes, fried chicken on a pizza buffet bar. They ask you for a pizza you would like them to make for you when you enter so you are sure to have something you like on the buffet. The two times I have gone, there have been at least 6 different types of pizza at one time and the standby pepperoni pizza is always there. They have some very unique combinations that I recommend. The taco pizza, for one, is great as well as the bacon chicken ranch. The crust has a nice chewy texture and will appeal to the masses, it is not greasy in any way, but is also not what I would call unique. The thin crust is nice flaky. I am fairly new to town, so I can not speak to the past, but the kids that work there are pleasant and they hussle to get pizzas on the line and make sure customers have what they need. I recently took friends to lunch at Pizza Ranch and was delighted with the improved quality of food, as well as service, since new owners have taken over. There were at least 5 kinds of pizza, plus a dessert pizza and a pan full of loaded cheese sticks. Also, everything was continuously being replenished very nicely. The salad bar had leafy lettuce with at least 10 toppings and a nice selection of salad dressings. Fresh!!! Actually, one of my favorite parts of the whole buffet was the crispy chicken, along with mashed potatoes and gravy. To top it off, there was soft ice cream available. While there, I noticed the owner and helpers were constantly busy helping, cleaning and making sure everyone was well taken care of.
