The service at the store was ok. I’ll start from the beginning.
The showroom- gigantic with plenty of items to look at.
Sales- the gentlemen was nice but at checkout he mentioned the product had no warranty, which isn’t true. All products need some type of warranty unless it is “sold as is”. He said I “must” purchase a 5 year protection plan. I declined that offer and paid about $800+for a beautiful sectional.
Inventory - For our particular sectional couch, it was not available at the Carmenita, Cerritos location. They don’t tell you that until you have your card out, ready to swipe. So you have to really make a tough decision about shipping or picking up your items. I don’t think they have any large items in stock at that store. After finding that out, things were a little weird. You had the option of picking it up yourself at their warehouse in Anaheim or paying a flat fee of $100 or I think it was $120 for shipping. It includes assembly. Very inconvenient to drive a few miles away from where you purchased to pick up your stuff.
Warehouse rules - you get a nice little brochure after your purchase with ridiculous rules to file a warranty claim and pick up. What was interesting is (not in these exact words) you need to bring the proper vehicle and adequate vehicle space to pick up your items (at the Anaheim warehouse) or you will not be serviced. We own sedans. We called the Daniel’s where we made the purchase and they gave us a number to call ( the Anaheim warehouse ). We called the warehouse to find out what type of vehicle we would need to pick up the sectional. We simply asked what the dimensions were. The warehouse lady that answered the phone was super rude and she said “ I don’t know you have to come take a look and figure that out yourself”. We called the Daniel’s again and the manager apologized and gave us the dimensions. Pretty easy.
Quality - at first, the couches seem great. We don’t really have visitors come over. We have two kids. One is 61 lbs and the other is 23 lbs. After about a month or two, one piece of the sectional is already falling apart. We don’t jump on them or do any crazy horseplay on the sectional. It’s really sad to pay $800+ and have cheap quality sectionals. This is my second purchase here and probably my last. We don’t want to file a claim because the rules are set up so it’s not easy for you to get a credit back or a discount. Plain and simple, the quality isn’t as high as it is hyped up to be. This is only after a month or two of having these. I hope the rest of the sectional doesn’t fall apart.
Well, this is my honest review.
Update as of 3/30 - the quality of these sectionals isn’t the highest quality. One of the back rests is extremely loose from normal use. When you look behind the material ( tpu or leather who knows ) you see a flimsy structure built with really cheap wood. A “clip on” or “snap on” portion of the couch that is at the end concealing a really sharp rail is easily removable by a 2 year old. I would not recommend Daniel’s Home Center for “quality” home furniture. I would recommend them if their prices were 50% less that what...
Read moreWorse than a used car dealership. At least with the car dealership you know you are getting used prior to paying. The moment we walked into Daniel's we were being pressured my the sales reps to purchase any little thing we looked at. Furthermore, we were told we need to hurry up and "put some money down" before it was gone. When we found a fridge we liked we were told it was in stock and could have it delivered within 4 days. When the delivery date came we were called by the driver and asked if we had purchased a used fridge as the one in the truck had no box and looked used. The order was refused as we were told we would be getting a new one. A few calls back and forth with Nelson resulted in him advising us that the fridge was oversold and that's all they had in the warehouse. He advised us that the one that was sent was brand new, never turn on, and came straight from their showroom. However, on our visit to the showroom everything was plugged in and turned on. He also advised that the GM would call the following day, but he never did. Called Nelson again and was told the same. He arranged to have a new fridge delivered a few days later. However, two days prior to the new delivery date we received a call from the store saying the fridge could not be delivered till the following month. We were offerd a petty discount if we accepted the used store fridge, to which we refused and demanded a refund. We have now been sitting at home for a week with no fridge, and will probably go several more days till Home Depot or Lowes can delivery a new one.
All these guys care about is taking your money. When paying for our fridge we over heard the rep next to us instruct the family applying for credit to lie on their application and boost there income by claiming both individuals worked when only one did. She said it would help them...
Read moreThis review has no reflection on the sales rep Paty. On 4/28/2025 my sister and I bought a couch and a Rocker Reclyner. The Rocker is fine the issue I have is with the couch
The couch is lobsided and has a small gap that gets bigger the more you sit on the couch.
This couch looks used, old and worn out.
I contacted my sales Rep Patty with Daniel s Furniture in Cerritos California, she referred me to customer service and at the same time Patty flat out told me ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!!!!!!
I contacted Customer Service and spoke to a Vanessa who requested photos, which I sent. After a few hours Vanessa told me that an inspector will be coming out to my home to look at the sofa.
I had high hopes, but when the inspector Maracela arrived, she saw the couch was lobsided and she proceeded to tell me that the couch that was damaged was caused by myself and my sisters who also live with me.
She layed on the couch to demonstrate to us how the damage happened.
Unfortunately we only had the couch from April 28th to May 23rd how is this possible (26) DAYS ?
I was told by Inspector Marecela no REPLACEMENT no REFUND no STORE CREDIT! Instead she offered to insert foam where the sagging is occurring!
THIS IS NO SOLUTION TO OUR...
