Let me start by saying, I've only been to a WaBa two times. Both in the last couple of weeks. Very pleasantly surprised to find the quality and quantity of the WaBa Steak and Chicken Plate was fresh, juicy and flavorful.
So, I was expecting to receive the same experience as our first visit. Well, the exact opposite is was happened.
Our order was two Chicken Plates, with all white meat, ordered WaBa Way with half veggies, half white rice, the pork dumplings and substituted another order of dumplings instead of the salad (they were out of salad), added green onions and the pickled carrots and jalapeños, extra WaBa sauce and hot sauce.... To Go.
Got home to find very dried out chicken which was not WaBa way, all rice, no veggies, no green onions and jalapeños, no hot sauce or extra WaBa sauce. And, the kicker was the dumplings were COLD!
Totally ruined our meal. The complete opposite experience from our first visit and so disappointing, let alone not to mention the expense... which the meal was inedible.

Free bowl (up to $10.49) for Rewards Members
WaBa Grill, purveyor of fast casual bowls, plates & tacos, gives their Rewards Members a free bowl (up to $10.49), during their birthday month. Always a welcome treat, I look forward to my free bowl when my special day comes around.
Spicy & Sweet Chicken and Veggies bowl- A little spicy, a little sweet, this bowl was satiating and tasted good, too. Charbroiled, with fresh ingredients, a quality meal to be had.
Service was good. Ordering at the counter was prompt, and I had my bowl in no time. Ample seating inside, WaBa Grill is located within a dead plaza. I believe Somunnan Korean Restaurant is the busiest tenant. Ample parking.
Another year, another WaBa Grill bowl. The Spicy & Sweet Chicken and Veggies bowl was a welcome meal, and I appreciate the friendly service & clean dining room....
Read moreI bought a salmon bowl, but as you can see in the pictures, the slice of salmon was like 3 oz only, very little and thin. And the rest was lots of rice. It is the first time I buy in any waba restaurants. But for me it was so so expensive to get only this for over $9 😱😱😱 since if I go Mimi's restaurant I will get double salmon with veggies and rice for $13 and if I get a coupon from them I will get it for free in a Bogo. Secondly I ordered and then a couple ordered 2 plates and they were served first. So, I do not know what is going on in there but I am posting the real food pictures. Oh btw I am adding a measurement of the salmon piece the same large as a medium egg. And. As you can see there were no chopped onions on top, and if I wished to have little veggies I'd had to pay a dollar extra 😱. I do not think I will go back. But definitely in this location the owner does need to...
