I came to check in as a Platinum Bonvoy member. The guy who checked me in was so kind and respectful but he did not notice that my card declined due to a possible fraud hold. I was rushing to a wedding so I didn’t notice no hold was put onto my card either. ||||Later after the wedding when I went out I did notice that my card was declining at ATM & the bar. I checked my banking app to ensure it wasn’t locked. It wasn’t, I emailed my bank. ||||||I checked into Residence Inn at 3pm and the agent was so kind and respectful but he did not tell me that my card declined and my card didn’t notify me either. I was rushing to bartend a wedding at Colby Falls so I didn’t notice the discrepancy until after 1am when my card was declined at the ATM & then the bar. I checked my account and saw it stopped working after shopping and prior to checking in, told myself I’ll stop by the desk in the morning prior to leaving. ||||Went back to Residence around 4am, Auditor was not in lobby. Went up to bed. I am a Marriott employee & a Platinum member so I figured I would stop by the desk prior to check out if I didn’t see a hold in the morning. ||||Front desk agent gave me a 3pm Platinum checkout. At 11am Housekeeping walked into my room, I was naked in the bed with my naked boyfriend…. I sat up and said, “I have a 3pm checkout” the woman got upset and yelled, “They didn’t write that!” Ok. I’m Platinum and I’m naked, please close the door. ||||At 1pm this “AGM” calls my personal cell asking if I’m still at the hotel. I thought she was also calling about my late checkout so I made mention of Housekeeping sexually harassing me and the desk agent not noting my late checkout that HE offered. She didn’t want to talk about that, she was upset my card declined. I explained that I did notice that the card had no hold but that was 2am and I figured I would take care of it prior to leaving, explained I had a 3pm checkout and I would be down. ||||This woman told me that SHE WANTED TO LEAVE PROPERTY AND GET ON WITH HER DAY so could I come down NOW? No acknowledgement of what her housekeeper did to me, no apology for the desk agent not notifying me of the decline. ||||I came downstairs, I asked to speak with her, I paid my bill, and I asked her why she did not acknowledge the fact that her housekeeper, sexual-harassment, or that her desk agent did not do his job correctly at check-in, and she basically ignored me until I told her I was going to call Bonvoy. Read moreEverything was up to par except for our last night. If you get room 215, please read this review in its entirety. My family and I recently stayed here for our spring break vacation. (Wife and 3-year-old son) We were given room 215. The room was small compare to other Marriott hotels we have had, but no complaint because we spent most of our time enjoying the Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale area. We spent a total of 3 nights here. On our last night we had plans of getting a great night sleep so that we can slingshot our 21-hour drive back home. Mind you the other 2 nights were great, no issue, this night as stated above we intended to get a good night of sleep. We packed our luggage and got everything organized to make the morning less of a hassle for us and our 3-year-old. We went to sleep at 9pm hoping to get into our REM sleep and be fully rested. As I was underway to enter my REM sleep phase, (mind you, I tend to struggle with falling to sleep right away, my wife not so much, as she was KO like Nate Robinson) I heard rattling as if the walls of our bed was falling apart, which immediately woke me out of my sleep. Now I am in full James Bond mode attempting to identify the sound. You know the scenes in old Looney Tunes cartoons where Elmer Fudd “shhhhhssss” and says “be vewy vwey quiet, I’m hunting wabbits” that was me. The rabbit didn’t take much to identify as the noise kept getting louder, within 30 seconds, a moan followed the beating and rattling of the walls. I initially thought it was my bed shaking, so I reached to ensure my family was safe, my son who was in between my wife and was sleeping effortlessly. I sit up to listen more and did a complete 360 hearing analysis to identify the location of sound. To my surprise it was coming from above at times it sounded like it was below, at this point it didn’t matter because the moaning and rattling was not in our room, but the effect was almost like we were in an Imax Theater. The moaning continues to escalate, I tilt my head over my son’s body to whisper to my wife to confirm that I was not the only one hearing this. She whispers back as if we were teenagers hiding out. Back to the noise, it continued to get so loud and the walls was literally shaking as if it was going to collapse on us, I heard all sort of sounds, from screams to aggressive slaps. At this point it was clear that 50 shades of gray were going on above us. Whomever was above us, was doing some majoring “clapping of cheeks” aka, buttocks, gluteus maximus” My guy was literally Clark Kent clapping like “baby got back” with no plans of stopping the “midnight train to Georgia.” The female co-accomplice was screaming louder than Jamie Lee Curtis in all her horror films combined. I almost channeled my inner Karen and called Phoenix PD to report noise disturbance. At this point you’re probably wondering how the rest of our night went, to save time, horrible it continued for 2 hours and 45 minutes with all 4th quarters and five 30 seconds timeouts utilize. It went on longer than any World Series. I laid in the fetal position with my head on the cool side of my pillow in hopes that REM sleep can come back to me, but instead my thoughts and anger were having a dance party wondering what kind of Viagra the guy took. I mean if 50 shades of gray were filming a part 3 above us that night, I would believe it. I just hope we get screen credit under “neighbors below.” As for Residence Inn, I am mind blown that the contractors and architects did not consider installing noise cancelling...
