Hampton Inn Washington-Dulles Int'l Airport South — Hotel in Chantilly

I stayed here for one night on a weekend in mid-March. I was in town for an event that took place about :30 minutes away in Middleburg, VA and this Hampton seemed like the best option and price. I booked online ahead of time through the Hilton website. I was in a king room with a shower. The room was clean and comfortable. I was pretty close to the elevator and it was not noisy at all. I was a little worried about that initially. Check in was easy. I could have checked in on the app but I chose not to do that. The front desk staff were professional and polite. Parking is free and it was a big lot. Hot breakfast was free also. I only had a bagel but the breakfast area had plenty of food and was clean. The location is close to Dulles airport if you’re traveling and I believe there is an airport shuttle. There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel for a wedding. While I had a small mishap on the first night (I accidentally dropped my car key down the elevator shaft), the staff really went above and beyond to help. The front desk and maintenance team were incredibly responsive, offering immediate suggestions and making sure I had everything I needed.

Thankfully, I was able to get a spare key. But the hotel made sure to follow up with me after my stay to arrange mailing back my original key once they found it. The entire staff here are wonderful and were so appreciated during the stressful time.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. However, the personal care products were way too heavily scented. Hotel products should have a minimal smell or smell clean, but certainly not exceedingly faux floral as these were. After using a tiny amount of the hand lotion when we got to the room, it was as if I had walked down a phalanx of salespeople at the Nordstrom perfume department.
