We thru-hiked the PCT in 2024. As we were going through the many places and people we came across on the trail, this place stuck out as the worst experience that we encountered. Prior to arriving, we sent a text message to verify that they would receive our packages. They said "address is on the website", so we sent our much needed shoes to the lodge. When we arrived, we were told that they refused to accept delivery of hiker packages. This caused us to stay 1 extra day to get 1 pair of shoes from the post office (weekend). The other pair of shoes were returned to the sender. This caused 1 of us to hike nearly 300 more miles in a pair of trail runners before we could find another place that would accept hiker packages. Upon arrival at the lodge, I asked the owner for some guidance on orientation around the premises. He, in a snarky tone, asked me if I read the reservation email. I told him I haven't had service for many days and had not. I then stood in front of him reading the email while he sat on the porch to orient myself. There were many thru-hikers there and we all had the same negative vibe from this guy (owner). Facilities were adequate enough, but the vibe was so negative, we chose to get a hotel room for the night.
