Kopper Kettle Café — Restaurant in Chester

-Will not be coming back. -Do not recommend I am embarrassed that I brought my new wife and her mom here, to a restaurant I visited so many times over many, many years. I consider Chester to be my hometown and this was just so embarrassing and disappointing. -While I did not frequent this establishment during my over 20 years in the military, I started coming here in about 1976 as a kid after church and returned to the area in 2010. I feel that KK had hit rock bottom and I would rather eat a breakfast on a U.S. Navy ship or even Denny's. I don't know who lost the recipe for good food here, but they should go and try and find it. -Party of five. Sunday, 1230pm Church crowd was gone at this point. -Soup was cold for two orders. They attempted to warm it up, still not good and very tasteless. -I had biscuits and gravy, had to use a knife to cut. Gravy was okay. -Wife had Eggs Benedict, just meh and overpriced. She had to share half of her food with her mom since the above stated soup was an no go for her. -Wife and I had mimosas, served in plastic cups and had visible different amounts, very strange. I'm sure there was two glasses somewhere. -My mom had a senior burger, mentioned it bland. -I know it's hard to get staff, but waiting 20-30 min to get our order in seemed a bit long to me . -Took about an hour to get our food. -Staff never came to check to see if we needed anything, we had to get up or flag someone down for water, food issues and the bill. -I could smell someone smoking a cigarette right before getting our food, weird. -Prices were high for the quality received, but when unsatisfactory when you have meal with a smoker near...

I give it one star for cleanliness, and the waitresses were nice other than that the food was subpar, and the chef messed up every single thing we ordered. I asked for build your own omelette with two kinds of cheese and avocado that we paid extra for. Only one of the cheeses was in there and no avocado. We ordered a side of bacon. that didn't come until 10 minutes after the rest of our breakfast was there and it was so overcooked that it looks like it had been found at the back of the oven from the day before and put on the plate. I'm surprised the waitress didn't notice it when she brought it to the table because it was obvious as soon as she said it down. I figured at least my biscuit after everything else, would be a highlight at the end of the meal. I was wrong. It was gooey and sticky inside and undercooked. We took it in stride and we understood it was busy for Father's day but it wasn't any busier than I would imagine it would be normally. All the tables were not filled and I think people would rather have the chefs take their time to do the food properly rather than rush and mess it up. We personally would have understood a longer wait to have better and properly cooked food. Saying that it's busier than usual is a poor excuse for the chefs not doing the food properly. Absolutely awful and waaaay overpriced. $16.95 for almost nothing at all.

Steer clear of this meal. You will be ripped off and insanely disappointed. I was taken for $16.95

Dinner was a complete joke and almost comical. The waitress was fine. She was very attentive and did her job well. Dont really care about reviewing the other stuff. Not important to me.

I ordered the chicken breast dinner with veggies and mashed potatoes with a salad.

Chicken Breast was literally the size of a silver dollar (no joke) and fit in the palm of my hand with room to spare and less than 1/4 inch thick. (My wife and i couldn't stop laughing at how small it was) So, that is NOT a chicken breast. It's a very very tiny piece of chicken. Although it was good.

The veggies were a joke. small bowl of canned corn that was two spoonfuls worth and cold. Not good at all and misleading.

The mashed potatoes were downright awful. One scoop of instant potatoes that were dry and chunky. Not good. The gravy was ok.

The salad was standard. Not bad at all. The roll was warm and good.

Do NOT order this meal. You will be ripped off of your hard earned money and very disappointed in the portion size. What i should have done is refused the meal and walked out, but i didn't.

Don't pay these high prices...
