Childress Fair Park Campground — Hotel in Childress

Thanks City of Childress! How can you beat $15 a night for full hookups, a covered patio picnic table per site, fairly well-maintained sites, and easy back-in for small or large rigs? There's a three night limit on a first come basis, but I imagine most folks are just passing through. There were only three RVers for the five sites on the Friday night we stayed. Just drop your $15 in the lockbox; no forms, just your cash, though we put ours in a plastic zip lock bag with our general info and a thank-you note. The site seemed quiet and safe. We got three bars on our T-Mobile, so cellular service seems adequate. Google maps got me there, no problem...Garmin...

Fantastic little, 5-space, campground and adjacent city park. $15 for the overnight space, electric and water. Covered picnic tables are right there. It's not attended, simply drop your money in the box at the entrance. Better than a lot of campgrounds that cost 2 to 3 times that. A lighted concrete path runs right behind the campsites and goes all around the lake, with a nice foot-bridge to traverse the lake. Also right there; ball fields, a pool, Frisbee golf course, pavilions, kids' playground and more. Only a few blocks off the main road, but...

Well I have to go by City Hall to get a permit and I don't know what they're going to charge for me to stay here so if it's fair I'll stay if not I always have Walmart not dish in the park the park has somewhat amenities here that I like you're plenty of picnic tables they've got some trails and stuff they have people who are running all day long I have some dogs I've seen up here and they do have a shelter over there I have not been to that one I just grabbed a picnic table close to the road and...
