Thanks City of Childress! How can you beat $15 a night for full hookups, a covered patio picnic table per site, fairly well-maintained sites, and easy back-in for small or large rigs? There's a three night limit on a first come basis, but I imagine most folks are just passing through. There were only three RVers for the five sites on the Friday night we stayed. Just drop your $15 in the lockbox; no forms, just your cash, though we put ours in a plastic zip lock bag with our general info and a thank-you note. The site seemed quiet and safe. Read moreFantastic little, 5-space, campground and adjacent city park. $15 for the overnight space, electric and water. Covered picnic tables are right there. It's not attended, simply drop your money in the box at the entrance. Better than a lot of campgrounds that cost 2 to 3 times that. A lighted concrete path runs right behind the campsites and goes all around the lake, with a nice foot-bridge to traverse the lake.
