Childress County Heritage Museum — Attraction in Childress

Great museum of local and regional history with really cool stuff in it including a near-complete Linotype Press system. The curator on duty was fantastic and gave me a detailed tour of some of their most interesting and unique items in the collection. They have some wonderful gems tucked away in that former post office, and there are some incredible stories and people in the histories of small towns. The museum has several noteworthy exhibits worth stopping to see. One of them is an origional of the Articles of Surrender for Japan, signed in Tokyo harbor in August of 1945.
