We stayed here on our way, and back from hiking in the White Mountains. Location is easy to get to off I90. There is plenty of food, gas, and coffee stop options within a 5 minute drive from this location. I'll just throw my pros and cons on here to make the rest of my review more simple. PROS: Price/affordable Each staff member I interacted with was kind, personable, and helpful. Beds were ok, and clean. Bathrooms are small, but we could make do with that. CONS: I put on my reservation that 4 people would be staying in the double queen bed room each time, yet there were only 3 towel sets each time, so check and be prepared to go ask for more towels if needed. They turn off the AC in the rooms when vacant, which I get, but be prepared to turn it on and go get dinner or whatever while it cools off in the hotter months. PS, don't hang out in the hallways, as stated before they are warm, to put it lightly. The doors to the rooms are a problem. Yes they close, yes you need to use a key card to get in, but I wouldn't trust their security or integrity. It took my 3 sons and I to push in and pull up the door just to get the deadbolt locked, without which, I think someone could have easily kicked the door in. Not saying that is an enhanced possibility, just saying that to help you make your decision.
Overall, it is an easy and affordable place to stay the night on a road trip or whatever. Having said that, I wouldn't do it again unless I absolutely had to. If some improvements are made and verified on here, then maybe. As I said, the staff was great, can't stress that enough....... but the facility could be better. Hope...
Read moreFrom the pictures on the search engine along with the "guest ratings", this hotel was not at all what I expected.||First of all, the external hallways to the rooms (meaning they were on the outside of the hotel) were very old and dirty. This affected my view of the cleanliness of the room which I why I gave it a lower rating. In addition there was a left-over musty smoke smell.||More importantly, there were NO LOCKS on the external hallways!!! This means that ANYONE could just walk into the hotel from the parking lot at any time of day or night directly into the hallway where the guest rooms were. I have never been in a hotel where this was the case. Since I was traveling alone, this made me very uncomfortable and concerned.||The TV did not work in my room. I reported it to the front desk the following day. I was hoping for some offer of a partial refund since the amenities were not working. (I arrived very late and did not report it then.) ||This hotel was completely overpriced. I have not stayed at many Best Westerns (this one had a weirdly high guest rating) but this visit confirmed that I will not seek one out in the future. There were many hotels in the area (many of which were already booked) and I wish I had looked more carefully. The search engine I used (hotels.com) did not offer many of them as an option.||The only positive thing about the hotel was the front desk person David, who was polite and helpful with my reservation and check-in.||There are a ton of other hotels within sight of this one....
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE|1. At checkin the front desk woman was incredibly rude from the second I walked in. She finally asked me in an accusatory manner if I was sick (I am still masking). Once I assured her I was not, she warmed slightly but not much. |2. My room was in a building off to the side and it wasn’t very well lit. The door to get inside was only working intermittently with the room keys. It wasn’t just mine- the desk lady warned me at checkin that people had been reporting problems and I might have to go around to the back door (which was even more secluded). |3. The room was filthy top to bottom. |4. Around 3:30 am, a man started banging on my door while simultaneously trying to get in with a key. I had to yell through the door twice that he had the wrong room, and he finally moved on. I didn’t sleep any more after that. |5. At checkout, the (different) desk woman was not any better than the previous night. She had to be called in by a maid and I still had to wait several minutes for her to arrive. She never asked how my stay was, and could hardly complete the checkout process due to complaining to a male coworker about how she was so stressed out at having to make breakfast and manage the front desk at the same time. They commiserated that someone should be hired just to...
