Breezes Banquet & Event Center — Attraction in City of Utica

I give this place 3 stars. I had my wedding here in July and yes this venue is beautiful and everyone had a wonderful time.. I loved my wedding. BUT. Months later when I look back I can’t help but feel anger because of these things. There was a couple things that upset me. There is a huge telephone pole in the background of my photos walking down the isle, my photographers did their best to exclude the telephone pole. But I thought this was annoying. So just a warning to those looking to go with this venue. Very poor placement on their part.

My husband had his heart set on have a memorial for his great grandmother, he wanted a seat “ reserved” with her photo. When he explained his idea to Roxanne she told him “no , we do memorials this way…” and set up a table hidden in the other room. This happened with a lot of things. We wanted this set up a certain way and they didn’t happen. I think on your wedding day it should be all about how we want things set up NOT how the owner wants things set up. My guests informed me that they paid for 10 dollar drinks and set them down at their spot on the table and walked away for a second and came back and the drinks were cleaned up…. Another big thing is we make s’mores pre made as favors because we were told that there would be small fire pits out on the deck, they were never lit, and guests weren’t able to use the deck because they never opened the doors to the deck. We paid a lot of money for this and it’s upsetting when things didn’t go as planned. But we still had a beautiful wedding. I just have been wanting to write this review to let all my frustrations out and hopefully let other people get information to make a good decision about a venue. One thing I look back on and love was how sweet the kitchen staff was, especially this sweet little lady that helped me get my food for me and waited on me hand and foot. She informed me at the end of the night that were was leftover food in to go containers for me to take home. Which I thought was very sweet because we had a ton of guests not show up and I thought the leftovers would get...

Wow. I cannot say enough great and kind words about Breeze’s. Everything about our wedding experience was wonderful.

Erika, Roxanne, and the entire Breeze’s staff, thank you all so much. Everyone at Breeze’s went out of their way to ensure our day was special and went off perfectly. The service, attention to detail, and of course the venue itself was amazing. Leading up to our day, there were concerns about the weather, but Erika went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and confident that she was doing everything she could to ensure we could hold the ceremony outside if at all possible. Luckily, it was. And I don’t think that would have happened had Erika not been so flexible and willing to wait until an hour before to decide. The weather broke and the sun came out like a movie script right as our ceremony started.

The reception area of the venue is gorgeous. The bar area, the outdoor deck, the ambient lighting, the decor. It’s all beautiful. And the light up dance floor was the life of our party.

I also want to personally thank Dor, for catering to us and making sure we had everything we needed all evening. She was amazing.

The entire staff was fantastic, right down to the clean up crew being so accommodating and friendly the next morning while we gathered decorations.

We had our wedding at Breezes about 3 weeks ago and it was absolutely amazing. The venue allows you to use anything they have for centerpieces/decor, this was a huge help to us and our wallet, the centerpieces were gorgeous too. The bridal suite was really nice, I appreciated having the space to get ready right on property but also being in a separate building.

The event coordinator was FANTASTIC, Erika took care of anything I needed and everything I didnt even know I needed! She made sure to box up desserts and food for us to take home, without us asking. She handled any and all questions or concerns from vendors. I dont think she asked me one question the entire day, she knew what we wanted and both her and Roxanne executed everything perfectly. There is so much value in having a coordinator come with the venue.
