I like to give credit due where it is due. I'm currently traveling through Northern kansas on hwy K-15 towards Washington, Kansas. I stopped in to take a break from the road here in Clay Center, Kansas. This is a clean and friendly town . I stopped in at the Cedar Court Motel located on Crawford street in Clay Center, kansas. I had the opportunity to meet a lady named Gwen who works the late morning and afternoon/evening front desk here at this Motel. I found her to be an incredibly nice down to earth person who treats people good and makes guests glad they stopped here. The same can be said about Nicole both are awesome gals who are an asset to this business. The Motel has an excellent Mexican Restaurant attached the the front Lobby called El Puerto. Very Top Notch great food and atmosphere. The Motel is clean, comfortable , quiet and affordable. I highly recommend this Motel to all Travelers coming through clay center Kansas. Dont pass this place up. Thumbs up to the Cedar Court Motel. Let's support our local mom and pop American run businesses as well as the great Mexican Restaurant as...
Read moreEverything was good. Price was right. Rooms seemed clean and smelled clean. Beds were comfortable. Then after two nights of being there we found them. Bed bugs!! We left immediately but not soon enough. My Mom and I are covered in bites. And when we brought it to the staff’s attention they were not concerned at all by this. They told my sister that every hotel has bed bugs and any hotel that says they don’t is lying. And the housekeeper said this is normal and it is bed bug season because of all the workers coming through. NO! This is NOT normal or acceptable. I travel a lot. I’ve stayed in many hotels. This is the first one I left covered in bed bug bites. Not cool guys. You need to get rid of the infestation. People are being exposed to this and if they don’t catch it like we did they can bring them home with them. Be careful staying here since they think bed bugs are no biggie. I’m so...
Read moreI go to Clay Center every year to see my granddaughter off to school. She and I stayed a week at Cedar Court and loved it. Quiet, a nice pool that we used every day. Since we were there more than a night I mentioned we wouldn't need housekeeping every day. We went down to the office and got clean towels when needed. The cleaning staff would see us at the pool a couple days and said they would freshen our room. The little continental breakfast was enough to keep her content until we scouted the rest of the day. We had a nice frig/freezer in our room and some of the newly refurbished have microwaves. We will stay again, the present owners and staff are...
