STAY HERE!!||If you're on a budget and need to stay in Cle Elum - this is the place to stay! Rooms have been updated recently and I was very pleasantly surprised!||||-New beds and pillows (really comfy)||-New floors/carpet (not the shaggy stuff that never feels clean, their carpet is now the kind a vacuum will actually clean.)||-NEW TOWELS!||-New sink/vanity area (feels more hotel than motel)||-New shower stall, including shower liner and curtain. (The liner is not one of those flimsy kind that stick to your we legs - it's one of the heavy kind that hang nice and straight. The curtain is so new it still has creases in from being taken out of the packaging.)||-Very clean!||-Free wifi that works well||-Amenities: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, fridge, micro||-Flat screen TV||-Well worth the price||-Super nice staff.||-Staff helped me; I had a hurt knee and they offered me a room with a high bed so it's easier to get in/out of. :-)||-The furniture is not new but is not in bad shape.||-Cons: AC/heater unit was very loud, walls really need painting & the personal hygiene are all different brands. But given everything else, I don't care. This is such a comfortable and clean room that it felt more like a...
Read moreWe rolled into town about 10:22 after being stuck in the pass for hours due to an accident. we were already tired, and while waiting for them to clear the road, I found this gem, for only 50 bucks. The woman at the counter was a delight and gave us a warm smile and made us feel right at home.
Now don't get me wrong, The rooms have some wear. The TV remote didn't work. The mattress was squeaky. And the water pressure was almost zero. BUT for the price, and the hour, and the hospitality, I actually rate this one of the best hotels ever! It's a mom and pop joint, in the middle of nowhere. They still use paper check ins, and old school physical keys... MAN I wanted one of those old diamond room key chains... I haven't seen those for ever and it really brought home the nostalgia of what makes this place great.
It's gems like this that are dying because of the big chains and that's so sad. I really have to remember to give these places the respect they deserve, because it is places like this that created the great American road trip, and kept the dreams of the...
Read moreStayed here early August for one night passing thru. Price was not cheap but not expensive. Lots of road noise from main street and railroad in back. In middle of downtown so lots of convenience stores to get items and food. Bed was rock hard and fridge had to be unplugged as it whined all-night, so did not sleep great but adequate. Non-smoking room but it smelled of smoke or something not pleasant, that we got used to. Room was enormous and had separate sink and toilet/bathtub room. Good water heat and pressure. No elevator to get to the second floor room, that was a bit dated but clean. No real breakfast offered but coffee, and keys were old style real keys that had a security loss deposit if not returned. Felt safe in unit and lot, parking up front or in back close. Microwave and fridge in room and nice desk and working AC unit, and also had a second door to communal walkway in back of room as well as interior hallway door. It was our only choice in town and cheaper than others but just an average stay at...
