One of the nastiest experiences I have ever had. I was traveling from New Jersey and I had my service dog with me. I was told by others who are local to visit this bakery. When I got there, immediately the older woman who worked there said no dogs allowed, as was stated on the door on the outside. I informed her my dog is in fact a service animal and in the snappiest most condescending tone she says âwell she doesnât have a vest on.â I told her she legally does not need to have one on and that I have service animal and handler ID card with my service animalâs registration number on it. She turned around and refused to serve me and was uttering something under her breath the whole time about my service animal. The other younger girl had to come serve us instead. Such an awful experience and hospitality. If youâre going to be rude, at least know the law. My service animal did not make a sound and stayed by my side the whole time, as sheâs trained to do. No reason to be so blatantly disrespectful.
As for the food, it was good and fresh. However, if youâre traveling and making your way across Washington for food places, I donât feel like it was anything special that you canât get...
Read moreThe Torchetti dipper pastries we bought were excellent, but I'll just share a tip that they don't age well, so make sure you eat them the same day you buy them. (We were on a 3-day camping trip and tried to make them last, which was a mistake.) The apple fritters were over-fried (too dark), had minimal apple bits/flavor and the oil tasted old. but maybe that was a fluke. There were several other items that looked appealing and probably would be fine, so we'll visit again on our next trip to try something else.
The bakery case had several to-go wrap sandwiches available, some of which were vegetarian, which is GREAT. We appreciate that. They also have fresh bread here.
Staff were super helpful and friendly, sharing samples of the torchettis and just being overall pleasant to interact with....
Read moreI donât usually post reviews online, even for bad service. But Iâm so appalled by the type of customer service we just got at this place that I have to make sure people know the type of people who work here. My 7yo daughter picked up a t shirt to check it out and put it back where she got it, doing her best to fold it. This old lady scolded her right in front of us. We walked out immediately. Our daughters are well behaved and we ensure they follow rules when in public places. This type of behavior was completely uncalled for. This woman should not be allowed to be in customer service. She will certainly not get any of my money and shouldnât get any of yours either. Go to Pioneer coffee instead, must better service.
And by the way, my understanding is that this woman is the owner...
