Best Western El Grande Inn — Hotel in Clearlake

Horrible experience EVER!!! Since day one. I got there and the room smelled like old people and dirty carpet. At night, I was about to lay in bed when I moved the sheets, I saw 2 black spiders running around. I called the front desk to let them know all they said is they can bring clean sheets. I didn’t make it a big deal because I killed the spiders. The next day, when I got to the room, the fridge started making a horrible annoying noise. I called front desk and they said they were sending maintenance and tell me if they showed up. Nobody did. I called to check on status and front desk never picked up. I called many times and not an answer. How can the front desk be alone? Then I complained about getting clean sheets and I was told housekeeping was on their way. Housekeeping never showed up. I call to check on status and I was told housekeeping closes at 5:00. So, why wasn’t I told this? I was stressed out I went to their bar to have a drink. Bar closes at 9:00 PM and it was 7:00 and the bar never opened. I just called it a night and went to sleep. The next day I complained to everyone how horrible their services were especially when I found spiders in my bed. Erika (front desk agent) told me she was going to speak to the Owner. When I checked out and my ride was waiting for me, she told me the Owner was on the phone and that she will call me back to discuss my options. Tell me if Erika called me back? As of today, I have still not received a call. I even emailed the property and never got a response back. I will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN, that town is horrible and so many drug addicts in the street and that hotel seemed like it was a hotel for drug addicts, it’s a nasty and ghetto hotel....

I can but rate the round or service cause I didn't not stay here. I was invited to come over while someone stayed. From what I saw it's generally like other motels cook to see the little soap shampoo dispenser unlimited ice machine it does look like there are a conser at all times there. Meeting a multi functional level cause there is an elevator. I funny know the prices sorta scared to ask! Probably way to much but it is located as you enter twin which is great in case you realize oh my and who did I come here you didn't have much distance to get out. I'm so serious. So I was excited to try the hot tub but was not too impressed it needed to be hotter l not Luke warm. If you were to stay a while here though they have their own restaurant which I do but know about, is you were to stay awhile maybe best would be to bring something to cook on or in the your in the motel since their is a grocery store within walking distance and if you get sick because I Maybe I you accidently drank n the water here then hey hey right across the street also is an walk in E R Clinic. What I couldn't understand wasu was in the hot tub and looked up in saw was black black shy no stars no droids in the sky just black. Then I leave go back to where I'm staying at mind you I'm only two blocks away. I see in the sky but only black maybe few stars maybe but tons of those droids either people here have gotten to be a little too noisy or our police are extending themselves unto the citizens of clear lake even if you didn't want them to. Have a nice day, if you come here please try to find something good about this place before you leave and I personally would not want to cube back. Bul hey...

For the past 30 years Best Western El grande Clearlake has always been mine and my family's go to establishment whenever we needed a getaway. Yesterday I tried to make reservations for my husband who would be coming into clear lake from another state. After Shannon asked me to call back in 20 minutes because she was too busy to answer phones. I gave it sometime and when I called back I was placed on hold for an additional 18 minutes. When Shannon came back on the line I asked if it would be possible for an early check-in. Even if we had to pay for it it would be fine. She not only assured me but she promised that when they're maid service arrived at 9:00 a.m. she would personally make sure my husband had the first available room cleaned up for him. She never stated he would have to wait until 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to check in. ( If that was the case we would have took our business elsewhere) My husband arrived earlier than expected and let the front desk know he would be waiting patiently out in the parking lot. At this time everything Shannon had said to me was untrue!!! The gentleman at the front desk told my husband he would have to wait until check in. My husband drove 15 straight hours and was promised a room after a short wait. If Shannon was unable to give my husband an early check-in she should have stated that. Instead she made sure to let me know how long she had been working there as if "she can pull some strings". We were not looking for any kind of deal my husband just wanted a room for a few days he was very tired and just wanted to get some sleep when he came into town. Shame shame...
