We were trying to find a new getaway after our move to NC, but unfortunately, I can say we will not be back. The website stated a lot of falsehoods, but that wasn't the only problem. Besides the odd, far-away, non-handicapped parking, there is VERY little for someone who is handicapped or needs assistance. The rooms on the second floor have no elevator, have a step into the bathroom, have no access for a walker or wheelchair, and no grab bars. As far as the room, the accommodations weren't terrible as there was a fridge and Keurig, but the TV was tiny, there was no way to block the xmas lights through the windows, and there is nobody on site to handle people being loud. The bigger issues were in the help. There was an ice machine that made a racket all night, but there was no help to fix it so it kept me up all night. The front desk worker was supposed to get breakfast setup for 7am and she was late getting there and didn't have it ready until almost 7:30. Back to the falsehoods, the website bragged a deluxe chef-preparred breakfast when in fact we were given bagels and pre-packaged sausage sandwiches. The coffee was lousy, the directions around the facility for the lights were awful, and the response to the complaints - useless. They are supposed to be getting new management, but I don't see all of this getting fixed any time soon. NOT...

Read moreOne of the best values I've come across; fun, central location to restaurants, golf, wineries, and many other attractions. Is family and pet friendly at the Park (check with them on pet policy for rooms), historical, and educational. Reasonably priced, and right in the center of the beautiful Tanglewood Park, it is like a secret escape. Amenities include a big outdoor pool with lazy river, small slides, an arboretum/gardens free to walk through and enjoy, and fresh made continental breakfast cooked by a Chef; who waits on guests personally. The breakfast and restaurant hosts a charity that trains people as chefs to get gainful employment, so that's a few feel good credits free of charge. Family and pet friendly, good price, and awesome extras you won't believe. The bed and breakfast is decorated with an eye for historical accuracy, the staff friendly, and plenty of clean linens,...
