We stayed at The Basecamp in Columbia Falls for the weekend to attend a wedding in the area. We had known about this hotel from several years ago when scouting for a location for a motorcycle group to stay and enjoy Glacier Park. At that time we had looked at the bottom level king rooms, which had been recently remodeled and were very nice. Thinking we would have one of those rooms we did not feel that the price was too bad, but when I made reservations in a month in advance they only had a double queen bed room all single king rooms were booked, when we checked in we were given an upper level room ( 21) which we found out was defenitly not been remodeled like the room downstairs, the room was clean but older and bathroom was older, the tub was kind of grungy looking, the way the frig & microwave was stored was weird, they shared a closet with the clothes rack and the sliding doors were jamed and did not slide without really using muscle to open them or slide them enough one way to use the fridge. The old wooden coat hangers were needing replaced, because my wife had snagged a new sweater on a nail that had worked loose on the hanger. The staff was friendly & professional and the breakfast bar was ok with eggs, sausage, taters. We will defentily look around for somewhere else to stay when in the area with...
Read moreWhile on our family vacation we booked this hotel for a night, seeing that their website said it was pet friendly. We received a confirmation email that our room was booked and it specifically noted that we had selected and requested a pet friendly/ground floor room. When I called the day of to confirm the reservation, the manager told me that the room I was booked in was not pet friendly and on the second floor. She informed me that I would not be able to stay at the hotel. To add to it all the manager herself was rude and blamed me for the incident. I don’t understand why a room on the second floor that is not pet friendly would give the option to request a pet friendly room on the ground floor. That is an issue with the website that needs to be addressed. I requested a ground floor pet friendly room and my requests were not even noticed until I called. If the staff had checked the request this issue could have been resolved before all rooms were filled leaving my family and I looking for another place to stay. This put us in quite the predicament while traveling. Be sure to thoroughly check and call this hotel as their website is very misleading and clearly not updated. I do not recommend staying...
Read moreOne of the worst place ever stayed at we were there for just under 3 months kicked out with a 3 hour notice for something that is covered under their contact ( very vaguley)That was part of our religious beliefs and charged a $100 fee that was not in the contact. The front Desk Girl (Jessica) was really intrusive, aggressive and very rude! If you stay please be aware that any thing you sign in a contact is not honored and you will have absolutely have no privacy whatsoever. They will enter you room for non-cleaning reason constantly with no permission or notice! Also if you ever need to speak to anyone beside maintenance or front desk it is next to impossible they will have someone call ( the owner I believe who's name is Linda) you with a private number let it ring 2 times (so you are not able to answer) then leave you a voicemail stating that they will not call you back and accuse you of further accusations. Please be aware that this is not a trust-worthy business and you have a really high chance of getting swindled out of your money. If you decide to stay at this establishment I wish you all the good best of luck and hopefully your stay will be a lot more pleasant then our...
