We were truly excited about our stay here, having seen so many positive reviews online that painted a picture of a modern and well-regarded hotel. However, our experience fell far short of what was promised, leaving us disappointed.||While the staff was friendly and the room was clean, we expected a better and safer experience. The very first issue we encountered was the complete lack of a lock from the inside of the door, which made us feel unsafe. This is a critical security flaw that no guest of a reputable hotel should have to deal with. To add to the discomfort, the walls and windows were so thin that we were constantly disturbed by loud street noise and conversations from the halls and adjoining rooms. A good night's sleep was truly impossible, even with the white noise machine they put in every room.||Beyond the safety and noise issues, the hotel lacked basic amenities and practicality. As we were traveling with luggage, the absence of an elevator was a major struggle, making it difficult to get our belongings to our room. We were also surprised to find no bedside tables, which meant we had no convenient place to put our phones or other items. Finding an outlet to charge our devices was a challenge, as there were none accessible near the bed. The lack of basic comforts was further highlighted by the absence of hand towels, Kleenex, etc., which we've come to expect in every hotel. (One tip, if you stay here, get some duct tape from the front desk to cover the motion activated light switch in the bathroom so it won't turn the lights off while you're in the shower!)||In summary, this hotel is a prime example of one that looks decent in pictures but fails to deliver on the most fundamental aspects of guest comfort and safety. The noise from the street and other rooms was a major disruption, and the serious security issues were unacceptable. Despite the good location, we would not recommend this motel to anyone and...
Read moreThe room was nothing special, actually could be described as spartan. It was clean. As other occupants have noted, we felt many items were overlooked when furnishing the rooms. We had no hair dryer, tissue, TV, phone, clock, comfortable chairs, microwave or coffee pot. We did have an issue with a slow draining sink. There was not a closet and no hook by the vanity for hand towels. We were surprised that there was no breakfast offered. I think that is usually a pretty standard offering. It can be a noisy place. The noise from the hall and outside carries into the room probably due to the building construction and the vinyl flooring. The window coverings definitely need an upgrade to something that blocks out more light. We were given your number by a local motel owner that we usually patronize. We did not check your website, assuming that it would be pretty much the usual experience-not so. We probably would feel different if we had known what your story was. We usually average about 20-40 nights in hotels/motels per year. Many in that area, so we are familiar with higher rates and the seasonality affecting them. We would have to agree with many of the other reviewers, questioning the perceived value of this transaction. I don't mind high rates if the facilities support them, which they don't. We own and operate a seasonal business and understand the law of supply and demand. I do have to say that the staff is definitely an asset to the business. They were all helpful, courteous and clean. I was looking at the rating chart and going through the reviews when I noticed many had been written before you opened. Were they reviews of the previous motel? If you go through your reviews it looks like you would have a 3.6 rating instead of a 4.4???? We understand all of the issues surrounding Covid and opening while under construction. We hope you are able to resolve these issues in your off season. Hope this doesn't burst...
Read moreI would rate this place a 3.8 if I could. The biggest issue here is you can hear people in the hallways shutting their room doors at all times of the day and night, and it's very loud. You can also hear people walking up and down the stairs, dragging their luggage up or down the stairs. There is nothing in the hallways, or in the rooms, to prevent sound from carrying, so any loud noise carries from the hallways right into your room. While the beds are really comfortable, the noise at all hours that you can hear from the slamming doors and people outside of your rooms is loud and would wake most people up from their sleep. If I was this hotel, I would add something to the door in the rooms to prevent the sound from being heard, or perhaps adding something in the hallways to prevent all the loud noise and banging from carrying through the hallways into the rooms. There's also a motion sensor light switch in the bathroom and no way to turn switch the motion sensor off. When you get up at 1am to use the restroom, most people don't want a large bright bathroom light turning on as soon as they open the door to the bathroom or get in the vicinity of the motion sensor light. You can turn the light off, but only after it's already turned on and blinded you. Otherwise, the location is great and super close to the West entrance of Glacier National Park. The coffee was great, the bedding was fantastic, and the modern decor and updates look great. I would just really suggest something to cancel the hallway noise because it has got to be the worst hotel/motel/etc stay that we have stayed at for loud hallway noise carrying into the rooms, where you can hear everything. No one wants to hear that all night while they are trying to sleep and recover from hiking and...
