My wife, two kids and I stayed there between April 24th - 28 and our room was NEVER cleaned during our stay! We left around 9 am on the first morning and returned about 6 pm to find the room in the same state we had left it. When I asked the front desk as to why they said "we aren't cleaning guest rooms because of COVID" What!? So I inquired about this policy with a new front desk employee the next morning before we left for the day and she said they ARE cleaning rooms but we had to preschedule the cleaning. Great! So I told her we were leaving then (about 9 am) and wouldn't be back until about 7 pm. She supposedly scheduled the cleaning and off we went. Got back to the room excited for a clean room to enjoy - nope. I asked if they would clean it or give us a new room and they said "here's some clean towels and some toilet paper." The same thing happened the next day this time with a different front desk agent!!!! By the time we rounded out our stay, our trash was overflowing, there was a mountain of dirty towels in our tiny room (the rooms are VERY cramped) and with all the mess (imagine two little kids who like to swim), I couldn't find a small space to eat dinner on the last night. Horrible experience!
According to your response "Due to the pandemic we are not currently offering stay over service for the health and safety of our guests as well as our staff." This is TOTAL BS!! You're using the pandemic as an excuse to save money by not offering a standard service!! Its unsafe to clean a guest room, but you do it anyway after someone checks out or if you request it in advance? That's a complete contradiction! What am I paying for otherwise - the luxury of sleeping on one of your rigid and uncomfortable beds? And if you're soo worried about health and safety, why don't you make it mandatory for guests to wear masks (no one else did why we were there) or maybe you don't allow 35 people in the tiny pool area at one time!! Or here's another thought, how about you tell people when the check in that they will have to pre-schedule a cleaning? Don't treat us like we're idiots with your cost-saving "safety protocols."
Advice for future guests, if you're brave enough to stay here more than one night (and risk getting COVID from other guests) MAKE SURE TO SCHEDULE A ROOM CLEANING IN ADVANCE - not that they will...
Β Β Β Read moreI made a reservation for one night for 2 adults and 1 child because of a delayed flight at Glacier International Airport that was rescheduled to the next day (in that situation and still at the airport I looked for the fastest and closest option). We were given a king suite with sofa-bed. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon. I asked for restaurants for dinner or room service and front desk told me there was none, that I should go find a restaurant outside. The sofa-bed for my child was not prepared. When I went to open the sofa-bed, I encountered that the bed had been closed after the last use and cleaned nor inspected for the next client. It was very dirty, and the linens were all messed up. There were rests of food and a lot of undefined black things in between the linens and the bed. I called front desk, and they sent the maintenance guy (who later explained to me that they sent him because there was nobody else working that afternoon; he did his best to clean the bed and put new sheets, and I appreciated it). Since our flight was the next day very early in the morning, we had to stay early at the airport, before the breakfast started, so we also paid for a service that we were not able to enjoy. Also, none of the two TVs of the room worked the feature to connect our phones. We called front desk again and talked to the maintenance guy, but the issue was not resolved, so we did not watch TV either. The shower did not have pressure at all, and we were three people in the room but there was only 1 small tube of shampoo and 1 small tube of gel (by the way both super difficult to open) in the bathroom. In summary, we left very unsatisfied for paying a big sum (in our opinion very overpriced because of the season and apparently some concert that was happening in the city which by the way no one we asked knew about) and not receiving a decent service and accommodation. The service and conditions of the room were below expectations for...
Β Β Β Read morePros: convenient location to the airport and Glaciers Park, very nicely appointed hotel with several sitting areas indoors and outdoors to enjoy (really beautiful custom wood furniture and decor); plenty of hot water with good pressure, steady wifi, 5 mbps according to Speedtest, breakfast options rotated daily, with gluten free bread, coffee / tea, cookies and fruit in common areas, good mattress and bedding. Cons: king suite has no door between sitting area and bed area; this was a major disappointment since the rooms are advertised for families with children yet you get no privacy whatsoever; sitting area in king suite feels depressing and almost institutional, with cold walls and ceiling painted brown and cheapo light fixture; hotel is next to the railroad tracks and trains go by blowing horn at all hours (could hear at 7.40 am even through the earplugs); very noisy HVAC unit in the king suite; some cable TV channels had very bad quality, pixelation to the point of being unwatchable; daily problems with keys (front desk blaimed the computers); fruit at breakfast inedible, seems like a defrosted mix, rather inadequate for supposedly higher end chain, especially mid-July; pool area had such a strong chlorine smell that we had to run out after a few seconds, very disappointing. Other notes not related to the rating: 2nd floor corridor forms an open area with the lobby. I imagine central rooms on 2nd floor will also have quite a bit of noise carrying from the lobby (where the music is playing well past 10 pm). Make sure to request a room on 3-4 floor to avoid this. No laundry service, guest laundry is $2.25 per cycle (quarters and detergent available at front desk). Overall our visit was disappointing, especially considering the high season price we paid. All the niceties canβt make up for lack of...
