Holiday Inn Express Fort Jackson Inn — Hotel in Columbia

Me&my husband came here not too long ago we are diamond elite members the staff was friendly we asked to upgrade to a suite and when we got to our room it took my breathe away! Best holiday inn ever! They was so sweet they did our upgrade like we requested we are gonna be there this weekend and also asked for a suite I'm so excited to see it again I just loved it there wish we coulda stayed longer staff did everything to accommodate us and did. Very sweet and friendly im hoping our suite which is under my husband jack addington name is available bc it was breathe taking will take pics if we get the suite again we also had the most comfortable bed I'm hoping the king suite is just as nice and comfortable bc we just had a very bad experience with one in north carolina it was like sleeping on concrete only thing good about north carolina one was staff but me and my husband are so excited about this trip!!! This holiday inn is the best i highly recommend and would give 20 stars if could thank yall so much columbia fort jackson for last time and hopefully another pleasant experience this time we are praying!!! Thank yall for everything!!! We are just hoping we get the king suite with the two tvs bx my husband watches different things than I like too lol 😆 can't wait for our stay this weekend,!!!!yall are the best really on it all staff rooms breakfast just everything and we are praying to have another pleasant experience again . He made sure he met all my accommodations and that really really means alot!! The rooms are amazing just every thing about this holiday inn I have nothing bad to say about or the staff. Except d.marcus is exceptional and deserves alot of credit if he hasn't gotten any. This hdi will be the only one i ever stay at when I come to Columbia they are so amazing as well as the rooms and how comfortable the beds now corporate needs to really look into cherokee north carolina the bed was like concrete we ended up leaving early early like 530 in morning it hurt us so bad and the tv is small u want a suite in north carolina cherokee all u get is a view of the casino which u can walk outside and see lol and a little tv and a uncomfortable bed if I could give this one in Columbia fort jackson 20 plus stars I would !!! I highly recommend and will def be back alot in future every month or every other month love this motel and just can't really put into words corporate yalll please recognize these amazing people who run it and d.marcus and whoever makes it so fun to be away from home!! The times I attempted to get ahold of the manager, I was told that they were not available, but no one made an effort to get ahold of them. On the first night, I waited in line for over 2hrs because the staff was ill-prepared and unable to handle simple check ins. By the time I got done and was in my room, it was well after 10pm. After I unpacked my belongings, I went into the bathroom and then noticed that there was mildew all over the shower walls and the toilet seat looked like it had a buildup of urine. I called the front desk and made a complaint and I was told that they'll relay the information to room service the next day. Because nothing was resolved, I was forced to go out in the middle of the night and pick up Clorox wipes and gloves from wal mart. Some time after midnight, a stranger walked into my room while I was sleeping. After a small altercation due to the fright of the event, the other guest said that they were booked the room and apologized and left to go back to the front desk. An hour later, the front desk called the room and apologized for the mix up. The entire time that I was there, I have had to complain about trash (filled with the previous nights aroma-filled food), dirty towels being left behind and no replacement towels, dirty sheets or unmade bed. On the 12 of March, at approximately 4pm, I came back to my room after a long day of training and found that once again my room had not been touched by room service. I entered my room and closed the door and proceeded to get changed out of my uniform. As I am in the middle of getting undressed, my door is unlocked and opened (without there being a knock and an announcement of room service) and the cleaning lady entered (I didn’t get her name, but she was an older, black lady with a smoker’s voice). She entered my room talking extremely loud on her phone, leaving my door open when she noticed that I was there and said “how you doing?” and proceeded to the bathroom to collect the towels. I pulled my pants that was half way down back up, and went to close my door. She was on the phone for about 15min more sec yelling at someone to get off her f** phone, but she hung up with them, hissing her teeth. She finished her work and left without making any more acknowledgement towards me. Two days later on the 14 of March, I came into my room at approximately 330pm, and the room was already serviced. I proceeded to change out of my uniform and wash the make up off of my face. As I reach for the newly hung towel on the rack to dry my face, as I unfolded it, I noticed it was a little damp. As I turned the towel over to see why, I realized that a towel that had damp pee stains (this is the assumption that was made due to the color and dirt on it). When fully opened up, there was no way that these stains could have been missed, but neatly folded, none of it was visible. Disgusted, I went to the front desk and attempted to speak to a manager, but the girl at the front desk, Briana, was quite rude and treated me as if I was the problem. My property was stolen, I requested a phone call from the Hotel Manager, and I was told that I couldn't talk to him. I checked in the hotel on the 19th of October 2016 for family day. I put my things in the room and left for that day. I then came back and went to sleep woke up and went to graduation. I left my bag on the bed and when I came back my things was on the dresser. I didn't think anything of it because it was a military base. My room was cleaned before I even checked out that day. Who cleans a room before you check out. I picked up my bags and went to the front desk and checked out at 12pm. I checked my bags into the front desk so that I didn't have to lug around my bags till my flight came. Considering you trust them with your children and spouse and family member with there life to fight for our country. You go to family day and graduation to support our soldiers. You would hope you would trust you things in the room or at the front desk. When I was told to check my valuable things into the front desks or put it in a safe. But there is one problem the person who stole my stuff was a employee for the hotel. I had called the front desk and they put on the housekeeping manager on the phone. This person had told me she was sorry and if I was still there she would have reimbursed me with petty cash. But since I checked out of the hotel I had to report it to there insurance company. I told her so basically I won't be reimbursed because when you report something to a insurance company they find a reason not to reimbursed you. She had told me no they will reimbursed you. After she said that she spoke to the insurance company she denied what she told me. This just shows how much you can trust a hotel on a military base personal. This hotel doesn't respect our stuff or the soldier's who fight for our country. You thing you would be able to trust them since there is such high security in place. I can trust a lower class hotel with not security in place. I recommend you not to stay...
