Mattress Firm Clearance Center Devine Street — Hotel in Columbia

Went into the mattress firm in Columbia SC. On Devine st. Had a great experience with Richie. Nice guy, knowledgeable about his job. Haggle free willing to get you the best deal possible. Waved the delivery fee. I Bought a mattress and the ergo frame.

Delivery day: driver calls 3x to ask if I can come and pick up the mattress and frame from the gate because the check in line is too long. I informed I had no way of transporting those big items from the gate to the residence. They leave and promise to deliver the next day. Later that evening they call and say next available day is 5 days from then. After a rigmarole they ensure that they will deliver it in the morning.

Next day delivery driver calls and ask the same question. I drive to the gate to find out why and come to find out the individual was denied access the day prior and trying to get on a second day. He has a record. The other driver was able to get on and I helped the driver with the delivery. Which they claim they will set up and take all the trash and ensure that it works properly. This absolutely did not happen!

Long story short do not pay for The delivery fee! They can wave the fee very easily. And I’m thinking he already knew this when he offered to wave it in the first place. From what I gathered all mattresses come from the same warehouse in Columbia be warned.

The mattress is great EXCEPT guess what!? It reeks of mold! To the point we don’t want to sleep on it! I will get it professionally cleaned. I’ve bought a moldy mattress at an expensive price. If the cleaning doesn’t solve the issue it will be returned within the 120 day return policy.

UPDATE: The regional manger called shortly after this post. We had a lengthy conversation and he assured me he wanted to make this right. Long story short he had a new delivery team arrive the very next day with a different mattress. Which turned out to be a pleasant experience. Very professional of them! Prior to going my husband called and spoke with a young lady named Terri , Which had answered a few basic questions which led my husband to decide for us to try that company first even though I did state hey let's look there and shop around as some do before making a decision on items but once we got there Terri walked us from one side of the store to the other with comparisons with examples letting us lay on beds Express how we sleep asking us questions on our comfort on things we like things we don't like and of course my concern biggest was weight for two individuals in a mattress to be comfortable not just at first but 6 months later a year later Etc Terry wasn't a push salesperson she wasn't one to say well you know this is a sale item or this one has a certain amount off for a period of time she wanted to know about us and being able to make a decision of course that we're looking at spinning a sum of money for comfort for 10 years if not longer depending on our comfort status she laughed with us he she made us feel comfortable her coworker I believe that young lady's name is Kiki smile she was pleasant still she commented on a few things also with the coworker which also made my salesperson a lot easier to work with us because she was doing her job at the desk and assisting as a team player they worked together together it it just was a fun experience it wasn't a stressful one she explained any and everything and said guess what if we forgotten something please feel free to give me a call back and we'll get it answered it it was just a pleasant experience to be able to purchase a mattress and have fun and not stressed or pressured to buy what we were not comfortable with Terri made it relaxing only tjing missing was I wanted coffee which would of been nice while I was in the building bit again the crew (kiki) referred us to the new business next door to try some good brands over all now waiting on our delivery Mr &...

Never buy a matress from here, they have the worst customer service. I bought a matress that was supposed to be delivered within 5 to 7 buisness days and it did not come in during that time frame. I kept trying to call the store to get an update and I couldnt get a hold of anyone, I was just redirected to the website. I would go on the website and I still couldn't get a hold of anyone. I was told to submit an online form and wait 2 to 3 days for a response. Well I got fed up with not getting any answers so I submitted a form to cancle the order, and 24 hours after I submit the order to cancle the matress I magically get the tracking information for the matress that I bought. However, since I cancled the order I do not need the matress anymore and now I'm having trouble getting people one the phone, or on the chat, or even to respond to an email to confirm with me whether my order is actually cancled or not. Do not deal with these people ever. They do not care about their customers and will just ignore...
