So we saw good reviews. We order with the cashier which I think was the owner got all confused and frustrated with us. I didn't feel like she took took her time with us to make sure our order was correct, I just gave up. Got our food and drinks. Food was the worst Chinese food I've eaten in the east coast. The Lo mien was not cooked all the way and had a bland taste. My daughter order white rice and got rice. On top of all the mix up you can tell they were being cheap on electricity because iyer was hot in the dining area with cheap generic fans trying to move the air. It felt like a sauna in here we were drenched in sweat. The bathroom was the only cool place to be at than the dining room. TO BE HONEST LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO EAT BETTER CHINESE FOOD.

I have been eating at EggRoll Chen since roughly 2000. I no longer live nearby but I come in every time I pass through. They have consistently been my favorite Chinese restaurant since the first time I ate here (back when they were in the octagonal building). Every time I come it tastes exactly the same as I remember it. My go-to dishes are the shrimp fried rice(plentiful light and fresh) the dragons triplet (just overall delicious) and the Teriyaki Chicken. (It is unlike any teriyaki chicken I’ve had from any other Chinese restaurant, it is a stir fry with onions ginger and teriyaki sauce and it’s probably my favorite dish overall). I am so happy they are still here and I hope they stay here for the rest of my life!!

TOTALLY lived up to the hype! This legendary Chinese food restaurant will not disappoint! FOOD> The egg roll was crispy on the outside and the filling was so perfectly seasoned that I think putting any sauce on it was almost unnecessary. Then I had the sesame chicken with brown rice. SERVICE> You order at the counter, but the food came out quickly. The gentleman who took my order was friendly. The food was hot fresh and now! LOCATION> Great location right off Devine in Forest Acres off the beltline VALUE> The price of $12 for the huge plate was fair and the 2.55 for that egg roll was worth it! This is the GO TO for yummy Chinese food

I have been a customer for well over 10 years and today was my worst experience ever. The customer service was horrible and I should have followed my instincts and walked out. The lady was at the cash register but was too busy talking with 2 other ladies behind the counter and looking at pictures on their phones. She finally acknowledged me when I started to walk away. I placed my order and everything was very pleasant until I asked for clarification on the price. She said my total was $12.49 but the screen facing me had $11.35; and I questioned the discrepancy. She looked agitated and said the total included tax. I asked why wasn't the total showing on the screen facing me. At that point she became visibly angry and punched a button on the cash register so that $12.49 appeared on my side of the cash register. She then proceed to start talking very loudly in Chinese to the 2 ladies that she had been socializing with. I could tell she was talking about me because the 2 ladies kept looking at me. I asked for a receipt but I guess she didn't hear me because she asked me what did I say. So in a louder voice, I asked for the receipt again and that made her even angrier. Instead of handing the receipt to me, she slammed it down on the counter and glared at me. She also slammed my food down on the counter. She also told me that I don't have to come back ever again if I don't want to and that she doesn't need my business. I don't understand why she got so angry because I asked for clarification between the amount showing on the cash register and the amount that she told me was due. Maybe she thought I was questioning her integrity, but I wasn't. I just wanted to know why there was a difference in price between what she said and what was on the screen. Her customer service was absolutely horrible. On top of that, she gave me two of the smallest wings I have ever seen, and I wonder if she did that on purpose since she was so angry with me. In hindsight and because I had not paid, I should have canceled my order and walked out when she got so angry when I asked about the price discrepancy. She didn't need to tell me that I don't have to come back if I don't want to because I have sense enough to come to that conclusion on my own. Hopefully IF I ever go back, the gentleman who is normally takes orders will be there and I will tell him about the horrible customer service that I experienced today. That gentleman has always been very pleasant and friendly. The lady in charge today was just awful. Her customer service skills leave a lot to be desired. Giving it 2 stars because of the poor customer service I...

We were visiting from out of state and saw the great reviews this place had and so wanted to give it a shot. Ordered some pretty standard fare that are our family's go-to items: lemon chicken, general chicken, chicken chow mein, and pork fried rice. I honestly had to walk back up to the counter to have the clerk explain what was what because none of it looked like what we thought we ordered. The chow mein had no noodles and was very... white for lack of a better explanation. This was on us as the posted menu didnt explain that here, chow mein has no noodles, whereas at home when you order chow mein you get noodles in it. I guessed right on which was the general chicken, but the other two boxes each had fried meat bits in there with no sauce to differentiate which was which. Come to find out, the young clerk mistakenly sent back an order for sweet and sour pork instead of rice. So one box was pork and then other chicken but how to tell which? Apparently here, sauces come separate and you put them on yourself.... so we got the rice situation straightened out, finally got our drink cups since the clerk misunderstood that we wanted sodas from the fountain, not the bottled ones. Finally sitting to eat, the chow mein was bland, the general chicken tasted like it had sweet and sour sauce from a grocery store brand on it, and I couldn't even bring myself to try the others. No one in the family of six went back in for seconds and we took none of this home.

The poor manager was apologetic about the two mix ups we had in ordering, which was fine since mistakes can happen. But in the time we were there we saw the clerk mess up other orders and call people back up to pay more money since she didnt charge them right. My daughter also saw the cook eating from what appeared to be the prep line with his bare hands while awaiting the next order. Needless to say, we would never go back, and cannot in good consciences recommend this place to others. As I opened with, we are visiting from out of state, so perhaps the regional variances make this place locally fantastic, but to western USA palates, be warned. This was probably in the bottom three for taste that I have ever been to, and given that we didn't take home the many leftovers, my...

I had a taste for boneless chicken with gravy. Their menu has boneless chicken with a brown sauce on the side. My coworker called to see if they had the gravy instead of the sauce. The representative said that they have a brown gravy. I went and asked before I ordered the boneless chicken if I could get the brown gravy. The representative confirmed that I could. So I ordered boneless chicken with vegetables, pork fried rice, sweet tea, and pork wontons. I got my order. I didn't check it cause I thought they understood what I wanted. I got home and it's not what I wanted. The dish had vegetables on the bottom, boneless chicken on top of the vegetables. The rice was on the side. That sauce was in a small cup. I tried calling, but the line was busy. The pork wontons had a taste that I didn't like. It seemed like the pork was saturated with a broth. The pork fried rice was " yuk. " They have fried rice on top of a warmer. I think they just added the pork to the rice. I couldn't eat it. The chicken had no flavor. The best part of this meal was the sweet tea. I will not be back, was...
