this review has been a long time coming, But I chose today September 15th 2025 because it has meaning. A ot of meaning to me, it was on this date a year ago I found myself sitting at the bar having brunch at Another Broken Egg and I remember the atmosphere was so pleasant the energy was so positive that it just really drew me in and it was doing a Time when my Spirits were low. I had just about given up on dining out because a lot of customer service was just really bad like really bad energy really bad attitude people with dispositions people bringing their personal problems to work and just loading it onto their customers and then I came to Another Broken Egg an experience something more blissful just So Good. Over the year I've grown to love each and every employee there as if they were a part of my family I love on them they love on me I watch how they interact with other customers and they just give such positive energy and they take really good care of their customers the food is so good so shout out to the cooks in the back shout out to the managers Trish and Morgan, for the love and care that you give when you're preparing the meals couldn't ask for better service. I I also love to sit back and observe how Asia and Nyra communicate with the customers at the bar and how they keep them smiling they keep them laughing and they work so good as a team together they get the drinks out and they know what they're doing and they also make sure that the food comes out in a timely manner. they always take time to answer any questions they may have. the waiters and waitresses are very good and very attentive to their customers there's Bianca, Cherish, Sunny, Alex, Lena, Hannah, Katie. and one of the most important people there she usually greets you at the door she's the hostess her name is Serene. they are all such great people so if you want to go somewhere have a great brunch breakfast lunch they close at 2:00 during the week and 3:00 on the weekends then that's the place to be. and before I end my review I just like to say that if anybody complains about being at the Another Broken Egg on Garners Ferry Rd then they must have bought their own issues or personal problems with them when they came because the energy there is just too great and just too amazing for anybody to go there and not leave there with a better...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. A little after noon on July 8, I visited here as a first time visitor. It was my mom, me and my grandma. We were seated in the back area by the bathrooms away from every one (even though it wasn’t busy in there.) Which was fine with us. Our server comes out and says her name is Stephanie. She didn’t really seem like she wanted to be there, but I’m very understanding of people’s personalities. She brings us our drinks and we ended up ordering our food. To start off, we wanted to try the beignets, as we waited, another family came and sat beside us, and their waitress was so energetic and sweet. She stated to the family that since they were first time visitors, their beignets were complimentary. Our waitress didn’t tell us that or anything of the sort. Our beignets come out, and we asked the waitress if we could get them for free since it was our first time, and she seemed to have an attitude when we asked. So we cut into the beignets, they were RAW! As pictured below, and the other customers beignets were cooked perfectly. We sent them back, and it took almost 30 minutes to get them back. By that time, we got our actual food, which was not good at all. The food was unseasoned, cold and my French toast was not cooked through in the middle. I also seemed to receive the back ends of the toast instead of middle pieces. (Unless that’s how it’s supposed to be.) Our waitress never came back and didn’t offer refills or asked if our food was ok until we looked as if we were finished. Which we barely touched our food at all. She was quick to bring the check out for us to pay, but didn’t bring napkins or anything the whole time. For the price of the food and drinks, the service needs to be WAY better. Will not be coming back here despite the good reviews we’ve heard...
Read moreWe were down from the D.C. area visiting relatives and we were searching for potential breakfast spots. Another Broken Egg got the nod because it serves beignets. We went at 9 a.m. on a Sunday, not realizing how popular the place is. Fortunately, we got right in and had a great table and a great server (Ian). He was friendly and as prompt as he could be with the volume of people that continued to converge on the place. Our orders were a bit slow in coming but he made sure we weren't forgotten. In addition to our entrees, we ordered beignets to go; he brought those out to us ahead of our meal. We had a Salmon Benedict and a Shrimp Binny, both with a side of seasonal fruit. We substituted the bagel for an English muffin on the salmon order. Both entrees were excellently prepared and the portions were just right to be able to finish them and feel satisfied but not overstuffed. Two drawbacks that made this rating a 4 instead of a 5. The biggest is that when we got back to our room and opened the beignets, they were plain, with no powdered sugar or marmelade. We were extremely disappointed because, as stated earlier, the beignets were the the reason we chose the restaurant. When I investigated the receipt on the bag the beignets came in, it was annotated "No powdered sugar" and "No honey marmelade." I'm sure that in the busyness of the morning, our order was mixed up with someone else's; we would never order plain beignets as that is a crime against humanity. The other factor that helped reduce the rating is the acoustics of the establishment; my wife and I had a hard time hearing across the table due to the "energetic" noise all around. Not sure what you can do about that. The next time we come, we will order food for pickup and then carefully check our order...
