Laguna Reef Restaurant in Corpus Christi delivered a good blend of Gulf Coast charm, refreshing drinks, and flavorful seafood. If you’re craving a laid-back atmosphere with food that doesn’t disappoint, this spot is a must.
We started with the Cucumber Mojito and Coconut Margarita — both were exceptional. The mojito was light, crisp, and not overly sweet, with just the right kick of mint and cucumber to cool you down on a warm Texas day. The coconut margarita was creamy, tropical, and beautifully balanced — like a beach vacation in a glass.
For our meal, we tried the grilled fish and shrimp tacos, and they were packed with fresh, smoky flavor. The fish was lightly seasoned and tender, while the shrimp were plump and juicy, with a slight char that added depth. Everything tasted freshly caught and nicely prepared. The tacos came with a generous helping of toppings that enhanced rather than overpowered the seafood — exactly how it should be.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Laguna Reef is worth the stop. Great service, beautiful bay views, and a menu that highlights the best of coastal cuisine. Don’t skip the cocktails — they’re just as memorable...
Read moreOk, so the ugly first. Parking is pretty rough, especially if you need a handicap spot. They only have one spot available as far as I saw. We had to park about 50-60 yards away, and parking was pretty haphazard at best. The good...service was great and the food was good as well. I settled on a burger (yes, I know it's a seafood forward restaurant) and was surprised how good it was. The wife got a seafood combo plate and gave it a thumbs up. The couple we invited both had pasta dishes and both approved. I don't recommend the macaroni and cheese...tastes like they threw together Alfredo sauce and a slice of American cheese with some pasta and called it good. It wasn't. But for the parking issues we might be back. Maybe we'll try arriving earlier...arrived at 5:45 to get the happy hour pricing on certain appetizers but our server didn't get to our table until 6:02. To their credit, a manager approved giving us happy hour pricing anyway since we arrived earlier. Hopefully they get the parking issues settled. All together a solid seafood place in need of a parking...
Read moreJust wanted to give a big shout out to this hidden gem right between Corpus Christi and North Padre Island!!!!! We were in town from Houston and stopped by this wonderful establishment and boy we got blown away. First of all the service was amazing from our sweet host Marina. Always attentive if we needed anything and our drinks never went below half empty. The food was fantastic and is worth every penny here. The portions are more then generous for what you pay and surprisingly it wasn't crowded at all which as good as it is, I doubt next time we come it will be as calm because this place for sure will soon stop being a hidden gem and will boom to an area staple. Recommend this place to everyone and will for sure come back any time we visit Corpus or any surrounding area because...
