I have never in my life been so miserable in a hotel. This hotel is near the interstate, like MANY hotels I have stayed at, but was apparently not built with the interstate in mind. At 12:30AM I called down to the front desk because the interstate noise is SO LOUD I could not sleep. I have my phone with a white noise app, my laptop sitting next to my FACE with white noise on from YouTube. And the front desk lady was nice enough to give me a fan because she said they did not have any rooms not facing the interstate. She said this was a NORMAL THING FOR THEM TO DO! your staff is having to tell people to download apps and lining out fans so people can PAY to “sleep” there!? I STILL. Could not drown out the extreme loudness of the interstate… this is on a WEDNESDAY NIGHT when there isn’t much traffic and it still was the most miserable experience of my life. I truly pity anyone who TRIES to sleep here on a weekend. I spend $150 to lay in bed crying all night because I drove 9 hours ALONE and now can’t get any sleep. I will be giving this hotel a review on every platform I can find unless some sort of credit is given to me. This was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent and I have never in my life stayed in a hotel where it literally sounded like my window was open it was so loud. Sitting in the bathtub with music on with the door closed, YOU CAN HEAR THE INTERSTATE! That’s not normal and your customers should be warned at check in. Had I read a review about this I would not have wasted my money and gotten some sleep. I now have five more hours to drive by myself and I will be praying to not crash as I got NO SLEEP. I am appalled. Just appalled you charge people to stay here. Shame on this company. Shame on anyone not warning the guests how horrible the road noise is inside this “hotel”. A motel 6 would have been more enjoyable. All of this does not even cover the horrible dirty body smell in the room… like a pillow that hasn’t been washed in a long time. A blood stain on the carpet Infront of the mirror and hair...
Read moreI wouldn't give service 1 star at all if it had the option for 0. First off, the clerk that was there on the night of 1/26/24 was beyond rude, and standoffish with my husband trying to check in. I had in the comments that he would be checking in for us (I was feeling under the weather). She kept telling him that there were no other names on there that could check in. After almost ten minutes of dragging him through every question in the book and him saying he could get me, she opens her eyes and actually looks at the added details of the reservation with his name on it 😠. Then moved on to ask even more ridiculous unnecessary questions. I work with Hilton, I know the standard procedure of checking in, and she was just trying a person's patience.
Secondly, our room was on 3rd floor which apparently is where the cleaning is cut short. Hallways smelled nasty and old mildew like. Rooms dirty, dusty, smelly. 🤢I know for a fact that wrinkled sheets indicate an unchanged set of sheets, if I felt better and had the energy I would have been down to fix that, good thing we carry our own bedding for this very reason.
I'll just say this, Hampton Inn of Crossville does NOT meet the standards of Hilton brand hotels. And that front desk lady last night does NOT represent Hilton employees.
We pride ourselves on smooth, friendly service at my hometown Hampton, with immaculate rooms and breakfast. I'm not sure what happened to this hotel, but they are...
Read moreMy family and I were moving halfway across the country on 8/17/24 and needed to find a hotel for the evening at the last moment. We tried booking online twice and calling the standard phone line twice to book but kept getting cut off.
Once we realized the Hampton Inn was only a 6 minute drive from our location we decided to try our luck and simply drive over to the hotel on the off chance rooms were still available for the night. Boy are we glad we did!
This move had multiple things that went wrong but once we walked into the reception area at this Hampton Inn and talked to Janet behind the desk everything started to line back out.
Janet took such good care of us while juggling the phones, computer issues, and the needs of other guests! Her skills and experience were obvious and she put us right at ease by her charming personality and getting us into rooms. I don't know what we would have done without her specifically being there. She was a sanity saver.
Give this woman a raise!!! She handled all of this completely by herself.
As far as the rooms - they were clean, kept up nicely, and quiet. They were exactly what we needed. The breakfast in the morning was hot and fresh. It would have been nice for the morning staff to be as friendly and welcoming as Janet the night before (especially since there were FOUR of them) but everyone has an off day.
Would...
