My wife and I stayed at the Darmont Suites a few years ago. Our daughter who lives in the area told us she had heard that the Darmont Suites had recently been renovated. She reached out to Rachel to inquire about the rooms. Rachel gave her a code to go in and see one of the rooms. That alone spoke volumes about what kind of business she was running. So we stayed there four about three or four nights back in August/September 2023. We were coming back again this time I had four of my siblings coming along. I looked around at hotels and was astonished at the prices and the places did not look that great.
I asked my wife what she thought about staying at the Darmont Suites again and she did not think twice about it. She was in. I reached out to Rachel who could not have been more accommodating for us. We needed two rooms for three nights and one room for one night. Rachel asked what we needed and she set it up. Doing business with Rachel was like stepping back thirty or forty years, your word and a hand shake. I had forgotten to go online to reserve them officially but that didn't matter. She had them reserved for us.
The rooms are very nicely appointed with everything you could possibly need from dishes to pots and pans to a Keurig coffee maker and much more. I forgot my toothbrush and there was one there. Rachel and her husband own and run this place, paying attention to the little things.
We have stayed there twice and will absolutely stay there again. It is well situated. The Lost Horse Saloon is about a ten or fifteen minute ride. It was a cool setting way up in the woods. The food was bar type food and was ok. We also went to the Sapphire Restaurant which was less than a five minute ride. Now the Sapphire was absolutely top quality. Everything was wonderful. It was a little pricier but it was worth every cent.
This review is already too long but you get the point. It is a fantastic location with clean well appointed rooms and comfortable beds. And the price is by far the best bargain around the...
Read moreStaying at the Darmont was like getting a surprise birthday gift. Pulling up to the building, the exterior impression was an average looking small apartment building, except for the balconies on every room. I was a little worried about what I had gotten myself into, until stepping into the room. The inside featured very thoughtful design details, and finishes, and appliances (like large flat screen TV’s upstairs (bedroom location) and downstairs (living room and kitchen). The Keurig was typical of the attention to detail, with several K-cup choices and already loaded with water. If you forgot to bring a toothbrush or razor, there they were. Electrical outlets for charging were just where you would want. The kitchen had everything you would need. Lots of stainless steel, and beautiful wood furniture. And a very comfortable bed. The most well thought out hotel room I have ever...
Read moreThis is honestly the best place I've stayed in the last decade! What a pleasant surprise ☺️ Our room was immaculately clean - even the oven and inside the oven hood were spotless. The room was decorated simply, so to speak, but with all the modern finishes, it was very tasteful. All the amenities were perfectly thought of from the dishes, cooking items, tea, and an abundant assortment of coffee pods; to the surprising amount of amenities in the bathroom which included extra towels, combs, disposable razors, and toothbrushes/toothpaste. What a way to relax after a long day and start a new day fresh, thank you! I can't wait to...
