Side O' Sea Motel — Hotel in Daytona Beach

If you want to stay at a hotel that reminds you of staying with your cheap aunt, this is the place. The landlady Doris changed the price of rooms based on how much she is paying for electric and water and she'll be sure to complain about the bills to you! She's up in your business and will not allow you to use a fan in your over priced room. She walked into the room while my sister was in the shower knowing she was in there! The sign says $190/ week, +$5 extra person, but she charged us $300 for three people to stay in a cramped room with a stove that didn't work, an air conditioner that was as loud as a freight train, and refused us towels because she didn't want everyone taking showers that would cause " water to leak out under the building" according to Doris. It's not worth the price or the hassle! There are much nicer places at better prices right...

If you're from the ocala area don't tell them that. They refused to let us stay after we told them we were from ocala simply because we were always into trouble. Then they refused to let 4 people stay in one room even tho there were two beds. They were very picky and were constantly complaining about how often we were gone. The lady was constantly nit picking. They would go in our room when we were gone and complain of beer boxes and smell of Smoke. And the owner would tell everyone's business to the neighbors. Deffinatly would not stay...

Stayed at this place a few years back, it def wasn't the nicest hotel but for the price you can't beat it. We had a group of 10 people and were partying pretty loud with no issues. Def could use some renovations but our sweet was huge and cheap. Haven't been there recently so unsure of how it is now but if your not looking to spend a fortune and u have quite a few rowdy guests this is def a good place to go.
