Longboards Daytona Beachfront — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

Walk right through the front door of the Daytona beach Hampton Inn straight through the sliding glass door to a great tropical paradise setup. The bar is open to the public and is set under a tiki themed pavilion with lots of tv's, bar seating and family tables. The view of the ocean the entire time you're eating cannot be under sold along with the way the building perfectly shields you from all the noise of the traffic on the main drag.

The drinks are very well mixed. We ordered the blacked mahi wraps and BBQ bacon burger that were found on the in person menu our waiter handed us. The burger was good and huge, the chips were good, the fries were good but fried in the same oil as the seafood... now those wraps were insanely good. The mahi was slightly over seasoned with a perfect aoli.

I don't think we'll be going back because the service was terrible. Our waiter was very young and nice, but he was too busy trying to get a girls phone number to pay any attention at all. He probably could have sold us two more drinks while we were waiting on our food which took a long time but it did come out hot. The bartender went and checked on our food when he caught my please help us look and he tried to take care of us from then on. I ended up walking back and forth to the bar myself for everything we needed including napkins and the check.

Please reconsider when going to eat or drink here! The service was so bad! We waited over an hour for food that did not come till we got up to leave and pay for drinks! By that time two crying kids and bartender who slammed stuff in the trash because he was mad. Why you ask well he was mad because we did not leave a tip! Yes he’s told us he was good to us and we did not leave a tip! He never checked on us never said why the food was over an hour and never asked for more drinks! He said well you can talk to my manager he is inside. At that time we all just wanted to leave I was so mad that at kid who I hope was old enough to work there ( someone should check) said he was mad about not getting a tip! BAD customer service!!! Do not eat or drink here! In my life and I’m in my 60’s I have never ever had such bad customer service!!! If this place wants that kind of kid working there please at least teach him customer service and how treat everyone who comes in!! Not a baby who complains to his customer he did not get a tip ( which I tip big always) but he did not deserve it at all! And to the server go cry someplace else that you don’t rely on tips until you grow up and learn how to treat people!! Maybe then you will receive tips for good care and remembering the customer is...

Three people, 4:30 PM Tuesday, 6-8 others scattered around the bar top. One server, runner, bartender, all the same person. Ordered beer $6 and water for two with mixed drink $11 and coke for the third. One person got a water no beer, one got beer no water, third got mixed drink no coke. Second drink never came until water retrieved by myself or asking again after 20 minutes. Ordered burger and chips $18, Tacos Carnitas and Chips $16, Turkey lettuce tomato and fries $14. Burger was no bigger or better than a double at Steak and Shake and dry. Only two tacos, mostly cabbage, half scoop of shredded pork not cubed. TLT had what looked like Craft American cheese slices. Checks were wrong and out of $50 never even brought the change back. TV's on the Roku screensaver for an hour. Save your vacation and eat elsewhere until Longboards gets it...
