We stayed here because it was a little closer to Black moshanmon State Park than the other 1 in town plus we stayed here for 4 days in 2007 for the same reason. So My grandfather could enjoy a little camping with his great grandchildren without roughing it.|| When I got there to check in they acted as if I didn't have a reservation. Finally found it. I stated I requested an accessible room for my 96 year old grandfather and I needed it close to an entrance because he can't walk far. She said i dont really have any left, she acted as if they were booked solid. Finally she said we could have room 129. So I headed to 129 to see where it was. It was 2 rooms from an exit but you had to walk around the building to get to it. so I figured we will just pull the car up to that side through the grass.-- Communal picnic table there where everyone smokes. So I went to put some things in the room but the key wouldn't work. So back to the front desk. She said she would try it, implying i wasn't doing it right. Well she got it open with a lot if difficulty and said just jiggle it a little. The key didn't work right the entire stay, we literally had to leave it unlocked to get back in. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. I requested non smoking. The continental breakfast was nothing more than a box of frosted flakes and 3 boxes of cheerios. There were about 5 English muffins and a few bagels. And coffee. That was the first morning. The next morning only coffee was available. || The cleaning lady was nice and very apologetic. But overall not a nice please to stay. And that's in comparison To Our stay here in 2007. It was much nicer back then. Nothing seems to get fixed. It smells very bad. The front desk people were nice but I will...
Read moreWe decided to reserve the banquet room for our work Christmas party. We were told we could have the banquet room for 6 hours; however, when the time came, hotel staff said we only reserved the room for 4 hours. When I explained to the lady at the front desk that we had been told we could have the room for 6 hours, she shrugged and said, "if that's what you were told. " I proceed to tell my co-workers we don't have to leave, only to find out that shortly after, a disgruntled male employee shut the party down. That wasn't even the worst part* This employee proceeded to ask random people in the parking lot who owned a specific car, and then proceeded to threaten/harass the individual who owned the vehicle. The individual who owned the vehicle was sitting in there when he was approached and asked who the f* he was, by this employee. The employee went on to say that he was getting strange text messages from the parking lot and that he was doing a parameter check. He then tried to pull a knife on the guy in the car, and also tried to open his vehicle door. When we found out about this, we were very concerned about our safety and the sanity of the front desk attendant, the same one that closed our party down. Fast forward to the police coming and not finding him... The hotel room was what I expected for a one star hotel. I told the front desk lady about it and she didn't seem very surprised ad she replied he was probably in his...
Read moreVERY UNSATISFIED, DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is terribly DISGUSTING. Someone needs to bring this down. The only reason I stayed at this place was because I had to be in town for an important meeting and did not want to be late since it was my first time in Philipsburg, PA. To start off, front desk staff was ok, they did not do anything extra nor anything less to accommodate me. Secondly, the room was not so bad, no complaints there, except the fact that it is a scary place and it creeped me out throughout the night. The next morning as I was getting my things out of the room to take it to the car, there is a housekeeper with brunette hair and she was TERRIBLE. She tells me to go back to the room because I left trash and that I need to pick it up!!! She starts complaining about how much trash there was and how I need to go back and clean it. I walked out and let her talk. I wish I would've gotten her name because people like her do not deserve a job. I will never be back to that smelly small place. There was NOTHING...
