I am very upset with the service of this hotel. My fiancé and I had a room booked for 3 days when we found out that we would not be able to leave. He was working nights in lake Charles and I was working in deer park while getting ready to move to port lavaca. The night before I was set to check out I went to the lobby to ask for an extension until Saturday, they told me they were booked but to come down at 6 in the morning and talk to the woman that was working then. I went down at 6 and was told that everything was fine and my reservation had been extended until Saturday no problem so I left and went to work. At about 1 my phone starts blowing up so I answer it. It is the hotel saying that the maid keeps knocking on my door and no one is answering but I was supposed to have checked back by then so I need to get back and check out. I tell them I was told this morning that my reservation was extended and I was good until Saturday. They told me they see where a note was written but I need to come get my stuff and if I can not then they would send the maid to get it and place it in the lobby for me to pick up after work. ABSOLUTELY NOT I even had my dog in the room so I told them I had no where to go and they just put me in a huge bind but ill be there as soon as I can. I had no where to stay, my fiancé was 5 hours away and the dogs kennel will not fit in my car. My boss had to leave work to help me get all of my stuff and leave my dog at her house. I had to sleep on my bosses couch. My fiancé then booked a room at the LaQuinta in Port Lavaca for the next night and they have been SUPER friendly and helpful. LaQuinta in Deer Park should really be ashamed.I also had to pay a pet fee and was told it was "new" corporate policy but I did not have to pay at pet fee at the one in port lavaca. I had no where to go and did not even...
Read moreWell been hear two days due to a set back on our schedule. But I get a really bad vibes . First day as we pulled up into the parking lot all eyes were on us maybe it was the trailer we were pulling or maybe the pretty brown skin n the truck who knows. Then around 5 my husband walked the kids to the pool. About 5:45 I came down and sat at the pool with them then about 15 min later a male employee came into the pool area and you could easily see and tell by his body language he wanted to say something but didn’t instead he went and got a female employee to come to the pool area. The young lady pretend to look into the laundry bag and then walked over to us and asked what room we were in I answered her question and she left. My husband then informed me that I gave the wrong room number but I guess it did not matter because she never came back. Now Day 2 around 5 I walked the kids down to the pool. About 15 min the same male employee from yesterday came into the pool area but I guess since it was just me he decided to ask about my husbands employer. In other words he was just trying to see if we were suppose to be in there pool. 🙄✋🏽 Hold up there are cameras every where in this establishment why couldn’t y’all look on the camera are check the key cards to the pool that’s the only way to get into the pool area. Never the less if I would not have been stuck in this location I would have left. Just bad uncomfortable vibes. It’s time for me to go home. However location was very clean and well stocked and walking distance to a nice seafood restaurant which the kids...
Read moreThis place was great up until this morning when the manager called the cops on my husband for toasting his breakfast biscuit in the toaster instead of in the microwave. All stemmed from my dog supposedly barking all night last night, even though we were there. Kinda hard not to hear him since he’s a pretty big pup! So instead of talking to him or myself, she tells him that he’s a slob and calls the cops. 2 of Deer Park’s finest show up and you can tell they don’t want to be there about a damn biscuit. Cops were even laughing about how idiotic that move was on their part. Then they (hotel) tried saying I never let them know we HAD dogs. Wouldn’t be surprised if they threw away the paperwork I signed for the pups. I also even told the night employee who checked us in Friday night that it would be better to not have a room RIGHT IN THE ENTRYWAY bc we have dogs, she said it was fine. My dogs were not the only pets there so who’s to say he was even HIM really barking bc as I told the cops, why didn’t they call them last night to file a dispute?
Don’t stay here. Candlewood Suites should have been my first choice. I’m flabbergasted that I even have to write a review like this. It’s almost...
