DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give negative stars I would. Definitely recommend staying in Sioux Falls and save yourself the trouble! Owner is extremely rude (you can ask anyone in town). We had 2 adults and 3 children in our room. Owner decided to change price on hotel 3 days into our stay and charged us an extra $50. He knew how many people were staying (verified through email and in person when we checked in). When I asked him why he was charging more he got very ANGRY and told me I was not welcome back at the hotel. Trust me I will NEVER be back or recommend this DIRTY, trashy hotel to anyone!!!! Room had three stained and ragged towels and the rooms are not cleaned properly. Beds had a ton of hair and trash where the headboard is at (see pictures). Save yourself the hassle and stay anywhere else. We also all got many bugs bites while staying here as well. So gross 🤮 Towels were all stained and one had some white sealant stuck all over it. Motel 8 looks like a dream compared to this hole in the wall! Breakfast consisted of Raisin Bran, Frosted Flakes, hard cookies and bread. Do not waist your time or money here! Dirty hotel, unprofessional and RUDE owners!!! Trust me, pick any other hotel around the area and do not support bad business like this! I wouldn’t be surprised if the only positive reviews are from family of the owner because everyone I have talked to about this hotel had nothing but negative things to say. It shows 24 hour front desk service but if you need anything after 10 pm expect to be yelled at by the owner since he is sleeping during that time not actually working the front desk. There are only two people working here; the husband and wife. No other staff. All old outdated furniture and bedding that’s been used over and over for years and it shows.

Little quiet hotel. Beds need to be replaced. Towels need to be replaced. Pillows are small and flat. Carpet was dirty. Room had a hint of smoke smell from when it people were able to smoke in the rooms. Was very concerned about how things were plugged in. The photo attached is the refrigerator, microwave and light plugged in. #TryingToStartAFire Does allow pets for an extra fee, which was very reasonable.

Avoid at ALL COST. This is a small family run business and operated by “who claim” to be the owners. Usually I would go out of my way to help small locally owned businesses but in this case these individuals have no business running any retail operations. Here is my experience. ||My Mom and I were traveling to a small town near Del Rapids to attend a funeral. My Aunt, mom’s sister passed away and we initially booked a place at the local Casino but they only had availability for one night. So we booked the closest place to the funeral to stay the second evening. After an emotional funeral we decided to go and check into our room for the 2nd evening of our trip. When we arrived at the Bilmar I told mom to go and check in as I am a smoker and needed to have a cigarette. I stood outside by my car no closer then 30’ from the entrance and I hear the receptionist shouting “this is not your home no smoking, this is not your home no smoking”. I shouted back ok my apologies and I proceeded to put my smoke out. I then walked in and he kept yelling this is not your home. I told mom to hell with this place let’s find another location but being exhausted from an emotional day mom asked me to drop it and let’s just check in and drop our bags off because we were attending a get together with our family later in the evening. I apologized to the receptionist and told them that I was not aware that they did not allow smoking anywhere on there property. He just yelled again you must have respect, this is not your home. ||Normally I would agree but this was the 1st time I had ever been there and was not aware of the policy. I was in the parking lot and away from the door and in my experience this has always been acceptable. I asked to speak to the manager / owner and the receptionist said that he owned the property. So I dropped it. Needless to say we checked in and dropped our bags off and made it to the family gathering. I would have left immediately but because of the emotional day we just had I ignored the absolutely rude behavior of the so called owner and we stayed the night. ||The room was antiquated, bed was soft, small TV and no amenities other than a pop machine in the hallway. Fine I was expecting a mid to lower class hotel without amenities. They did not disappoint on that aspect. Only good thing I will say about this hotel is it had really good water pressure. Other than that it was cheep, smelled off and dated 1980’s style decor. ||The next morning as we we about to check out I was standing outside having my morning cigarette. And yes I walked to the road to smoke. I lady that was also staying in the hotel asked me how we have been treated. Of course I told her I thought the staff was extremely rude and I will never be back. She proceeded to tell me that when she and her 2 small children went to get breakfast. (They provided dry cereal and milk) one of her kids spilled the cereal and he started yelling at her “this is not your house, you must clean up your mess”. The poor woman was almost in tears and her kids were in shock. |||After I heard that I decided to go back and confront the owner about his customer service ability. lol, that was a mistake. He started yelling at me again saying “get out, This is not your house”. ||If this guy is truly the owner he has no idea how to treat customers with any level of customer service. His approach is rude, and disrespectful and if you stay here you had better be prepared to act as if your staying with you significant others family for the first time. They are absolutely horrible people and do not deserve a bit...

We came just after midnight to check with a reservation, the front desk had clear directions on how to contact the desk clerk who responded quickly. We were given first or second floor options and chose the first. We walked into the room and turned on the heat, setting our things down along the way. As I was using the toilet, I noticed the shower curtain was moldy. Then saw the dirty-looking tub that clearly needed a good scrubbing and possibly refinish/replacement. I also noticed the toilet looked mouldy along where it appeared the water leaked down the inside of the bowl. Under the seat it had clearly not been cleaned as there were spots of yellow and brown on the underside on the seat. The mirror was spotted and foggy. There was a spot on the wall that looked like someone had blood on their hand and touched the wall, then on the phone it looked like blood on the cord/ hand receiver and there were corresponding red spots on the dresser below the phone, but it looked like an effort had been made to wipe it up.

The beds felt old, one blanket had a hole in it. The sheets had spots on them when we pulled back the bedding. The pillows under the cases were yellowed and the cases themselves had dirty marks or looked yellowed. We went back to the front desk to ask for a clean room.

Room number two had a moldy shower curtain and not-as-dirty looking tub, but a clean toilet. The mirror was equally spotted and foggy. The bed sheets were green in this room. The pillow cases looked excessively worn/dirty and the pillows inside were flat and... Fuzzy? Maybe covered with an inner liner? There was a mysterious pinkish red substance- candle wax? Candy? Soda? On the night stand, which drew our attention to a bug crawling on the bed. We left, informing the front desk clerk we were not staying and he told us he would...
