Super 8 by Wyndham Elgin — Hotel in Dundee Township

The price was reasonable, not great for a no amenities (no pool, no workout room, only1 ice machine on second floor, 1 in wall washer dryer /washer broken.). Rooms where clean, breakfast stunk (make your one waffles, raisin bran and frosted flakes(( the only 2 choice for cereal)), no muffins just prepackaged crappy baggels, and stale bread, some apples with no bannanas, yogurt and only orange juice (( watered down)) and the worlds worst coffee ). I can see why this was the only hotel not even closely booked in the area on a saturday night. But if you just need a place to stop at in the middle of the night for a few hours, i would still recommend the holiday inn next door or the hampton next to it ( if you can get a room because those two will probably be completely booked, but still try). Signed a very disappointed traveler :( And i almost forgot, that the business center ( one computer) is right out in the open on a wall in the lounge, where everyone can see everything you have on the screen. Update already-- not even checked out yet and they where in our room cleaning it before nine am (very unprofessional). Horrible Customer Service! I reserved 1 night May 6th, I called at 4:30pm on May 6th to let them know I would arrive after midnight. The person was rude and kept telling me I couldnt cancel, I never asked to cancel I was just giving a courtesy call to let them it was a very late arrival. Then he continued to ask how many people would be there, I told him my wife and son. He got mad and said I had only reserved for 1 person, I said it was a mistake and its why I had reserved 2 queen beds. He was yelling stating I had redo my reservation and not get a refund for current reservation. I told him just add my wife and my son it was obviously a mistake he kept saying that it couldnt be done. Finally I told him I would reslove when I arrive later that night, I ended up getting to the hotel at 3am on the 7th (600 mile drive) tired I just asked for the room, this guy didnt care about the people staying in the room, but once we got to the room it reeked of cigarrets (even though it was a "non smoking room") in the morning the bath was dirty with womens hair still in the tub. Again horrible experiance, I need to make that same trip again next week and trust me, I will not...

Great manager. Let me eat after breakfast was served and put away. The other staff on the other hand, not so much. I woke up late, apologized for doing so and told them I was already packing and getting ready to leave. They kept calling and knocking on the door. I am 7 months pregnant right now. It takes me 10 minutes to get off the floor. The constant calls to the room and knocking on the door made it take longer because I had to keep stopping which put me in a bad mood. Yes, I snapped at them, I don't need people to tell me to do something I am already doing. Yes, it takes longer because I am 7 months pregnant and alone. I told them that and they are not understanding at all. They were nice other than not being understanding about why it was taking me so long to pack.
