First room, the room smelled REALLY bad, the refrigerator didn't work & we were willing to overlook all that... but the carpet was soaked. I went to the front desk and she gave me the key so we moved to another room...In the new room, there was blood on the comforter & blood in the sheets. Sweet front desk girl changed the bedding but only put a mattress pad & comforter on the bed which we were also not going to complain about because it was so late and we were so tired. There was also food left in the fridge when we went to put our drinks in there... Next morning we are getting ready to leave & some man outside the room, who was "cleaning air conditioners" asked me when we were leaving. I pointed to the DO NOT DISTURB hanging on the doorknob and told him he couldn't go in our room (we were heading to a football game and had everything we didn't want to leave in the car at the game in the room). I proceeded to inform the same to housekeeping and the front desk. They assured me they understood. The front desk person even called the housekeeping manager. Long story short, we came back from the game and the A/C units were both off and the bed was made with new sheets & comforter...quite a lot for a room that was not to be entered. Quite a breach of trust! When I asked the front desk person Saturday night responded when I complained "What do you want me to do about that? I wasn't here then." When I asked for the manager to call me upon his return Monday AND called Hilton Honors to request the same, CRICKETS... This property is the worst. The only positives of this place were the sweet front desk girl working solo Friday night solving problems that she was surely not compensated to deal with and the maintenance man working with her. This property is an embarrassment of the Hilton brand. OH! And they have recently started charging for parking....in Durham...NOT NYC, NOT DC, NOT Boston....fortunately my frequent stay status allowed me to escape this but what a ridiculous idea.

The stay was good until we were treated very rudely by the sawed off, racist, black man that works the breakfast kitchen. Seems he felt the need to make a scene, and rip the serving spoon from my wifes hands, nearly knocking her down. He said the spoon (the only spoon that was there) was cross-contaminating the food, which consisted of cheaply made fake egg omelets, sliced sausage, and fried cubed potatos. Meanwhile, he stands there with a single server lid in his hands that jointly covered all three of the foods, which allowes the juices and steam condensation to infiltrate and contaminate all of the foods. But that wasn't important to him. He had to rudely grab the spoon from the white woman's hands, and make it look like the food contamination issue was her fault. I noticed there was a group of blacks circling us in the kitchen while this was going on. I tried to explain to him that his server was the real source of the cross-contamination, but all he did was got up in my face with his halitosis breath, and kept escalating the matter with US. Well needless to point out, I very conveniently did not receive a survey from Hilton for this stay. This is not a Hilton Property. Well at least it is not what I am used to, even living in Atlanta.

This is a very nice hotel, and the facilities and campus are well maintained. The staff does a great job keeping the grounds up and tidy. The staff was incredible and extremely kind and helpful. They expressed concern with a reservation issue, and demonstrated kindness. All staff from the early morning shift and evening shift were attentive and pleasant. The room was comfortable and had plenty of space. The bedding was also comfortable, including the linen and pillows. The mattress is well balanced between firm and soft that allowed for a good night rest. The downsides: there is very little clothes storage except for the closet. Literally. Hangers were on a shortage. Social hour is a great concept that is becoming popular. Served small snacks and horderves, beer and wine and soft drinks were also served. Overall, this is an excellent choice for a hotel.

Absolutely one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in a long time! I arrived to Chapel Hill a few hours early, and stopped at the hotel prior to my medical appointment at UNC, to see if I could check in early. The lady at the front desk checked with someone in the back, and said it was ok. I proceeded to my room, and went to use my bathroom since I just had driven 3 hours. As I was "finishing up", a housekeeper walked in on me! No knock on the door, just walked in! She asked me if I had just checked in, all while seeing that I was "busy"! The room was somewhat clean, except there was a bunch of trash (a water bottle, a few napkins and candy wrappers) under the small ottoman, that I had to clean up. There was no microwave in the room. No garment bag (which is where I usually put my dirty laundry to take home with me). No soap! None in the shower or on the vanity (glad I brought my own!). No blow drier (glad I brought my own as well)! The fitted sheets were on the bed inside out. The curtain didn't close all the way. I slept in one of the beds the first night and had to switch to the other one on the second night because the first bed was extremely "lumpy"! The second bed squeaked loudly when you moved on it, but was slightly better then the first one. If you have any allergies or issues with scents, be aware that the entire room wreaked of bleach. It was NOT subtle at all! The last morning, I was planning on sleeping a little late since I had a 3 hour drive home, and check out wasn't until noon, so I hung the DND sign on the door the night before. Needless to say, the same housekeeper who walked in on me when I had checked it, decided to bang on my door at 8:15am and wake me up. When I answered the door in my pajama's, all she wanted to know is if I wanted a towel! I pointed to the sign on the door. We are Hilton Honors members, and I have to travel to UNC for medical treatments frequently. I highly recommend Home 2 Suites rather than this hotel! Such a disappointment. Oh, and they charge $10 per night for parking! (the front desk waved the fee for me when I questioned it, but just FYI if you do have to stay here!). Oh, I forgot to mention, there was no microwave in the room. I have stayed at numerous hotels, over my lifetime, and can't recall a hotel room not having a microwave! (At least since the...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the cleanliness of the hotel to the exceptional service provided by the staff, my experience was truly outstanding.

First and foremost, the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. The moment I walked into the lobby, I was struck by how well-maintained and spotless everything was. The common areas, my room, and even the hallways were all consistently clean throughout my stay. This attention to cleanliness and hygiene, especially in these times, made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my visit.

The staff at the Hampton Inn & Suites were truly amazing. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone I encountered was friendly, attentive, and eager to assist with any request. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable and stress-free. Their warm hospitality made me feel like a valued guest, and it's clear that they take pride in providing exceptional service.

One of the standout features of this hotel is its convenient location. It's just a short drive away from various shops and dining options, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. Whether you're in the mood for shopping or craving a delicious meal, you'll find plenty of choices within easy reach of the hotel. This added convenience was a big plus during my stay.

Additionally, the Hampton Inn & Suites offers a range of amenities that enhance the overall guest experience. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day, and the fitness center provided an opportunity to stay active while away from home. The hotel's attention to detail in providing these amenities was evident and appreciated.

In conclusion, my stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites was a memorable and enjoyable experience. The combination of a clean and well-maintained facility, exceptional staff, and a convenient location near shops and dining made it a standout choice. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay, and I look forward to returning on my...

We booked the room through medstay because my husband was having surgery the next day. When walking in the front desk looks nice but after getting our room & going in it was not what we expected & we tried to switch rooms but the manager said since we had already walked in the room we couldn't. So we sat our things on the table & wiped everything down with lysol wipes & left the room to go to the hospital for pre-op. When we got back we were going to shower & head out to shop & eat. Going into the bathroom the tub was chipped & had hair on the inside of the tub & wall. A few of the towels were not clean & there was no tissue in the bathroom. Called the front desk to tell them tissue was needed & the manager was real nasty. So after finally getting everything almost in order we were able to lay down all though it was hard to sleep the first few minutes as we could hear the people above us talking & running or stomping the floor. The next day we checked out the breakfast was nice & the girl Ieisha that was working the front was real sweet. We waited for the maids to check the room then got our printed out receipt. After my husbands surgery I went to get something to eat & my card wouldn't work so I contacted my bank to check it out & was told they put a hold on it because I was charged 3 times by the hotel twice for the room price then a 250 charge so I contacted the hotel to tell them & was told it showed I booked 2 rooms & was smoking the reason for the 250 charge. My husband is on an oxygen tank so that smoking fee through me off & I told them & the manager remembered us exactly that they made a mistake pull up the cameras they will see the oxygen tank & the manager once again got nasty & said I was not telling the truth there was proof of smoking in the room but yet couldn't tell or show me what the proof was & that I can try & dispute it but I wasn't getting my money back. So I'm in the process of having it disputed & I would advise no one to book here unless you're booking with a prepaid card because that was wrong on many levels & this was my first & last time ever staying at Hampton...
