This is a wonderful campground which we really enjoyed last year, so we returned again this year. The grounds are pretty and well-maintained. There is a large clean pool for adults (with shade!) and a splash pool and playground for children. There is also a fishing pond with ducks and turtles. Very nice laundry room and bathrooms/showers. Lots of TV channels and the WIFI was solid. The location is great - close to the Amish country with lots of great restaurants and shopping. If you need a recommendation for a local place of business or service, Christine is the person to speak with in the office. Last year, Christine recommended a great place to repair our truck, and this year she recommended a pet groomer for our dog. We do agree with a prior reviewer that if Christine isn't there, the office check in can be less than friendly to non-seasonal campers. When we asked at the front desk for some recommendations for restaurants, we were told to "Look at the brochures". Also, there were some organized activities on the Saturday evening we were there, and we weren't invited or told about it, so at times it did feel that we weren't as welcome as the seasonal campers. All told though, a very nice campground which we highly recommend -

Honest review. Small campground. Not much room between sites so privacy is definitely lacking. Pool is nice. A catch and release walk around pond with paddle boats and ducks but watch out for the snapping turtles. Even though is tightly spaced n no tree cover you would be considered lucky bc your fellow neighbors are the type of neighbors one would want. Tight group of good people just looking to relax, laugh and enjoy their time with family, friends and sitting back watching their kids grow, learn, run and around with their wild imaginations making the memories we all cherish. They have some fun activities for all to enjoy throughout the season and Halloween is a month long of spooky fun. Plus the surrounding area has much to offer. It's a win win here.

While the campground was very nice and the atmosphere was very quiet there wasnt a lot to do for the kids. There was a pool but it was on the smaller side and felt a little "crowded". There were paddleboats and a water bike to rent for very reasonable prices as well as lake fishing. Also a playground and a basketball court. There was a "game room" with 2 games and a foosball table. A tractor pulled a "hay ride" for the kids on Saturday night. That was the extent of the activities. The sites were a good size, stone surface but no shade. We would love to see more activities for the kids! $110 for Friday and Saturday nights. Would we stay here again...maybe. would we be back of there was more to do....absolutely!

Just stayed here this past weekend and will NEVER go back! I know a lot of people that go camping and I will also let them know never to camp here either! The people at the office are very rude and not friendly at all! I booked to camp here back in March, I do NOW remember they had said to bring proof of rabies vaccine, but that was back in March when I booked the reservation. It is now October and they expect you to remember that? Well, we go to check in and they start the check-in process and were going to run my credit card for the remaining balance that we owed and they asked me if I had a dog, I said Yes, she says do you have proof of rabies vaccine with you, I said no I completely forgot to bring it, once she said that to me I then vaguely remember that they told me to bring it when I made the reservation BACK IN MARCH. She then says to the other woman who was starting to run my card, don't run the card, that woman proceeds to throw my credit card at me on the counter and they got real nasty to me, saying you cannot camp here, I cannot let you camp here if you don't have proof of rabies, not nicely either. I say ok then and start to walk out, she says can you go home and get it, considering we drove and hour and a half to get there I answered NO as I walked out. I go outside and tell my husband whats going on and he couldn't believe it. I called my neighbors back at home and they fortunately were able to get the rabies records, scan and email them to me. I then take the emailed copy into the store, where now there is a store full of people and hand her my smart phone, which she was annoyed about, then proceeds to ask me if I have my dogs rabbies tag on him, I said NO. She shook her head. Proceeds to run my credit card for my balance and then starts saying when you stay with us next time you need to make sure....I then cut her off and said you don't have to worry there will never be a next time, I will never camp here again! She simply says ok then. Starts telling me that this is their policy and they had an incident once and will get fined if they don't have records of all dogs having rabies vaccine. I understand you have policies, it was the way the whole situation was handled that I didn't like. I work as a professional and if I ever talked or treated people in my profession like my family and I were treated here I would be fired! There was no reason this situation had to be handled this way. To top it off, they never once asked me what kind of dog I had or even asked to see him to see if the records I gave them even matched the dog we had, so I could have given them any rabbies vaccine and they would have never even known. If you are going to enforce that all families staying at your campground need to have these records then a friendly email reminder may be nice to send the week before their reservation, considering I made the reservation back in March . With the way technology is today this can be done so easily, considering this campground is small and a majority of the sites are seasonal. The activities that were posted on their website for this weekend were not the same as the activities that were on the paper they gave us at check-in. There was supposed to be a hayride on Friday night and there wasn't, then on Sat night the hayride was supposed to be at 7pm and we saw the hayride go by our campsite at 6:15 already. We planned our dinner meal so we would be done for the hayride at 7pm because the kids were excited to go on it and when we were finished with dinner there were no more hayrides, and that was before 7pm. The bath house was dirty and small, fortunately we were camping with other family that we could shower and use their bathroom. Will never go back to this campground again! We have been camping for years and never were treated or had an experience like we had here! We camped...

For our first camping trip this year we chose shady Grove campground. We went over this memorial day Thursday-Tuesday. Had a new to us pop up camper we were dying to get out. Our site came with a gorgeous pond/fountain view. P11 was the site we were on. Dealing with the struggles of covid 19, I still felt the staff was genuine in their attempt to make a camping experience great. We didn't get to do the paddle boards or the paddle bike and they didn't have any activities but I can't fault them for that. The main portion of the park is pretty tight as far as closeness to your neighbors go, however if I could have my site again I'd take it before anywhere else. My site had a pond view, was quiet with no traffic or very limited traffic, and everybody that did come by was very nice and was commenting on how well our setup was. once everything returns to normal I would return to this campground with the hopes of getting the same site just to have the privacy I'm looking for and get the experience I'm sure would be worth 5 stars. The amenities were nice The Wi-Fi was a bit iffy at times while streaming but it had a full cable hookup and electric/water. Don and his office staff were very nice. I believe there was a new female staff member there as well she was fun with a good sense of humor and positive attitude. All in all a well-rounded...
