Time Matters Antiques — Local services in East Cocalico Township

I was visiting from NYC and had a great experience at this multi-dealer store. It offers a nice variety of merchandise for many different types of collectors, including antiques, collectibles, silver & costume jewelry, historical memorabilia, cool vintage kitchenwares, a bit of furniture, and more. Whether you are shopping for an inexpensive gift or a rare advertising display for your collection, there are pieces here for every taste & budget. I found 2 awesome vintage Native American turquoise rings at reasonable prices.

The folks at the store were very pleasant when I wanted to look at jewelry in numerous locked cases (I have been to some shops where the proprietors get annoyed that I want to inspect so many items, but not here). And as a further testament to their integrity, they went way out of their way to assist me when I lost my wallet there. Kudos to Steve, Beth, and Donna for their excellent customer service and kindness! If you are in the Adamstown area, I definitely recommended a visit to Time Matters.

p.s. As a small but not unimportant bonus, there is a soda cooler at the counter--if you're like me, you don't want to waste shopping time by stopping at a convenience store to quench...

VERY RUDE MEAN staff upon entering! VERY CONDESCENDING… just “wow”…. My 23 year old daughter (whom has high functioning Autism , and has anxiety issues…wears a tiny backpack .. it’s literally 6 inches… on her back for a security feeling … and it’s way smaller than a purse) was told she can’t enter with it .. literally ASSUMING my daughter is a thief?!??!! Funny , because my daughter had $700 in her bag to purchase little Antiques that she loves to collect, dolls etc… Knick knacks etc.. SO sad to basically accuse my daughter of being some kind of thief!! And .. as they do this .. it’s with a condascending tone… VERY NASTY PEOPLE…. HELLO ! You are nothing without CUSTOMERS!? We frequent Antique shops pretty much weekly …. This was in a new area , as we are in this town visiting a family member … and it’s TOTALLY OK! We GLADLY spent our money on other Antique shops afterwards… on the same road… as there are MANY! Do yourself a favor and SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE… At a shop that actually appreciates customers and doesn’t treat them horribly…before they are even fully...

As we entered they were on the phone which was fine and I thought nothing of it. We were looking for an old coke machine and had seen it in the window when driving by so we got excited and stopped. We were browsing the store and as we entered the area with the coke machine, the lady came behind and asked with a rude tone can I help you with anything. We said no and she immediately chewed my daughter out as she had been pointing at the coke machine and had one finger tracing it to show us. She began to chastise her and tell her she better not touch it, it's an expensive machine worth $6000. The irony is we were there to shop for coke machines. I was proud of my daughter for not crying as she was visibly upset but we left promptly at that time for the customer service.
