Super 8 in El Dorado, Kansas||The good:|• The premises and rooms are clean.|• They offer a military discount on the room prices.||The bad (and there’s a lot):|• It took nearly ten minutes to check in. The woman doing this was challenged by the English language. We have no problem with people from other countries, but learn and speak the language. Requesting a first floor room (there is no elevator to the second floor) was like having your teeth pulled. “Why don’t you want a second floor room?” Because!|• The television had two remotes and neither one could get the television to work. Even with the assistance of the woman who checked us in, the television would not work. We were without the television all night.|• The shade to the window could only be raised 2-3 inches. There was no way to let the sunlight in.|• There was no clock radio. Setting a time to get up or viewing the time of day was non-existent.|• There was no phone in the room and no way to call the front desk or make calls.|• The bed made LOUD metallic noises. Every time my wife or I shifted during the night, the noise occurred.|• Speaking of noises, there was a metallic clang during the night. It sounded like it came from the bathroom or outside the room.|• There was no side or end table on one side of the bed.|• The reason there was no end table on that side of the bed was lack of space. There was about 12 inches between the bed and wall. Even getting out of bed was difficult because of this.|• The latch or lock to the room, a security feature, was very loose. In fact, one screw could be pulled out by hand.|• The lobby was extremely warm. It had to be 90 degrees. How can one sit on the couch, which was quite old, to enjoy relaxing.|• There was no pamphlets or booklets of the area. There is much in the town and surrounding area, but how can a visitor know of them.|• There were only two tables with plastic chairs in the breakfast area.|• The breakfast included waffles or cereal or fruit. The fruit was old as the apples were shriveled and one had hole in it. After pouring coffee in a clean cup, which was wrapped in plastic, there were things floating on top. We didn’t drink our coffee and trying to make waffles caused them to stick in the baking device. We ended up at the Casey’s gas station about a block away, to get breakfast.|• We should have gone to the Baymont Hotel across the street that had 3-4 times the cars in the parking lot or down the street to the Holiday Inn Express, which had at least 8 times the cars in their parking lot. ||A lot of complaints and take them for what it is, but our recommendation is to NOT stay at this particular Super 8 hotel. We’ve stayed at other Super 8 hotels and they are worth staying at – NOT here though. This place has...

Read moreThe only one problem that us Jones' girls' have had is the tv and losing connection with the wifi but of course us girls haven't ever been outside of the park or the trailer so this is something that is totally different and new for us girls and the baby likes to run the hallway but she can't just be doing that because I don't think that they like that very much her two sisters are like to be able to do it but I have been trying to just keep them in the room with me so that I can keep a close eye on my girls' and we was put here by my DCF worker Tammy with adult protection services so that we would be in a safe place but it's a little bit expensive for us girls to keep staying here but we have been sleeping and feeling safe and IDK where us girls are going to be able to go to next and I've been trying to keep the room clean and I also put some meals that I don't have any room for here in the room with us so that if anyone else that is staying here can have thrm to eat so that they don't go to waste at all. And so that you know I have a Brain injury but I have been trying to figure out and learn to do things myself without making things worse or a mess and Us girls' have been waiting for my FISHY Paul Collier to come back and get us girls and I don't know how to get around here yet and I don't want to have anyone to feel sorry for us but any help would be nice and very much appreciated as well my girls have been very tired because we have been through so very much and Tammy has been trying to do her best in helping us girls out as much as she can and keep us girls safe so that we don't get hurt or taken advantage of anymore by anyone else like my ex husband was doing and so that you know I have handed over everything to FISHY March 19 2021 after my ex husband Mike Davis Jr was removed March 29 2020 so us girls hope that we're not being a bother to anyone at all but we are trying to figure out what to do and where to go to and Paul Collier my FISHY should hopefully be coming to get us girls soon. So thank you very much for letting us girls stay here and if I can help with anything until FISHY gets here please let me know I don't have very much money left because My ex husband but Tammy said that we have gotten him of my SSI benefits again but cat fish is going to be my payee and Caregiver live-in as soon as he get here. The babies are sleeping still and I'm going to go back to sleep again to. And once again thank you very much and appreciate it very much. The Jones'...
