Anitas Mexican Restaurant El dorado KS — Restaurant in El Dorado

I was there on 02/22/20 having a late lunch with the Mayor of Leavenworth. I am not from El Dorado and thought this would be a nice place to have lunch-meeting. Well, my jacket was stolen with ALL my personal keys! I did not notice this until I came back to my office, but I did realize that it happened while I was there and it must have happened when I went to the restroom. I sat on the side where there was nobody else sitting. The waitress checked on me a few times, but so did some guy (I am not certain who he was?) The reason I know my jacket was stolen while I was still there was because I had dropped my pen before I left and the waitress helped get it for me. I remember as I was thinking about the whole situation, that my coat was not on the booth at the time. When I called in to ask them look for it they said they would call me back, but did not. I had to call 2 more times and finally I had to ask again for someone to look for it. I was told nobody found it. I am very upset. I will file a police report. I did leave a message last night for the restaurant to have the manager call me. I want to know if they have cameras. Sad, this happened. I know it can happen any where. I hope they...

Disappointing experience, I will not be returning.

After visiting multiple times I was quite fond of their street style chicken tacos. Ordering the exact same thing as every other visit (including pointing it out on the menu) my food was brought as regular hard shell chicken tacos. I explained it was supposed to be there Street style and they left to remake it. After 10-15 minutes she comes out, with fried flour chicken tacos, not any closer to correct. At this point we are running short on time and I cancel my order completely and leave hungry.

Mistakes happen and I could have gotten over that. But after the waitress proceeds to argue with me after the second mess up, and argue that's not what I was ordering I am done. I was even more angry when we pointed it out on the menu and she starts arguing again with the manager there. This is also a good place to mention my wife never got the guacamole she ordered, and they messed up the ticket for just her food.

The food is fine if you get what you order but there are too many other Mexican restaurants in town to put up with this hassle...

The food was good and that's about it. Run by teenagers who lack the experience and common sense of serving 101 basics. Smile and be approachable and friendly, for starters. Always leave a few extra napkins, the one wrapped around the silverware is never enough!! Ask if people need refills!!! One person asked for a to go box and 3 were brought. It makes you wonder why extra napkins aren't just brought without having to ask, then. 🤷‍♀️ Horrible atmosphere. No music and the TV was left on the Roku home screen. I guess a lady at another table was so bored she had to sit there and stare at my daughter the whole time, which is rude and made her feel very uncomfortable. The very same lady was staring when we got up to leave as well. I asked her nicely and quietly what she's staring at and if she wanted a picture. It's not the restaurants fault but don't look at me crazy and start laughing if you don't know the facts surrounding the situation. Rude! My daughter had been here before, I had not.
