Hiway Inn Express of Elk City — Hotel in Elk City

This place is a total rip off. Me and my wife had a reservation to stay here on our way from Florida to Yosemite. After driving for 10 hours on our 2nd day of traveling we showed up at this sketchy place. There wasn't any cars at the place. This was July 31 around 10ish. The lobby door was open. We went inside and there wasn't anyone there. We announced ourselves a couple of times. Then we called 2 times. 20 minutes later a man came out of the back. We ran our credit card, checked ID and gave us room key for room 138. Room 138 was practically all the way towards the back of the establishment. Like I said earlier, there was nobody else staying here. When we open the door, it had a smell of an old bookstore. The bed wasn't made and was filthy dirty. I posted a picture as it appeared when we walked in. We took a few pictures and went back to the office. The person who took our information wasn't there. Again we tried to get him to help us. After 15-20 minutes we went across the street and contacted Hotels.com. They tried to resolve the problem but they didn't answer their call. The next day we was notified by hotel.com that this establishment has a no refund policy and they couldn't refund...

SO, SO BAD! You know those places you wonder if yhey clean, well this place you KNOW they don't. Arrived middle of the night, was greeted with prompt service, asked about rooms and that's where the fun began. Asled if I wanted non-smoking or smoking, I said non, he said they didn't have any, so I said ok. At this point, I would have preferred it if they jad told me they didn't want any guests because that is how the rest of the experience went. Got to the room, the blinds were tore up with no privacy, the room was in disrepair, the sing backed up, the tub was falling apart.

I went back to ask for a different room, he said there were none - with all 4 cars in the parking lot and nothing but empty rooms. The room next to me was vacant, messy, and with a light on. There were empty non-smoking rooms. He gave me a comforter to out over the window as a curtain. Which proceeded to try to cover the ac all night.

At the end of it, I didn't get any rest and have forgotten things all day. Not a place to stay if you are on a long haul. I didn't even brush my teeth in the morning it was so bad.

UNO SCHIFO! SONO DEI TRUFFATORI! ||Ci hanno dato una camera che dire sporca sarebbe un complimento. Appena entrati abbiamo avuto conati di vomito per il puzzo allucinante che c'era, tra fumo, sudore e chissà cos'altro.||I letti erano pieni di capelli, croste, sporcizia di non so quale natura, il bagno era sporchissimo, c'erano insetti che sono scappati ovunque appena abbiamo acceso la luce! ||Stare lì anche solo un'ora avrebbe significato prendersi qualche malattia ! Non ci avrei fatto dormire nemmeno un cane!||Sono tornato SUBITO alla Reception ma non c'era più nessuno. Ho chiamato, bussato, urlato, ma nulla. Alla fine ho chiamato il numero scritto su un foglio sul desk ma non ha risposto nessuno.||Ho provato a rientrare nella stanza per fare anche un video ma la chiave magnetica NON APRIVA PIÙ! Dopo quasi un'ora, essendo tardi e avendo la fidanzata che non si sentiva bene, sono andato in un'altra struttura più lontana ma decente. ||La mattina dopo sono tornato e ho trovato la stessa persona che la sera prima mi aveva fatto il check-in, gli racconto tutto ma dice che non fanno rimborsi , avrei dovuto dirlo subito appena vista la stanza! Gli dico che è quel che ho provato a fare ma lui fa finta di nulla e dice che la struttura non rimborsa. ||QUESTO VUOL DIRE RUBARE !||È veramente una vergogna avere queste schifezze su booking ! Inoltre chiamando BOOKING dicono che loro han provato a contattare la struttura, ma se non rispondono alla prima allora poi non possono più farci niente! MA CHE DISCORSO SAREBBE ? BOOKING PUBBLICIZZA QUESTI LADRI, CI LUCRA SOPRA E NON FA NULLA IN CERTI CASI? ALLORA È COMPLICE! ||||DISGUSTING! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!||They gave us a room that to say was dirty would be a compliment. As soon as we entered we had to vomit because of the hallucinatory stench that was there, between smoke, sweat and who knows what else.||The beds were full of hair, scabs, dirt of I don't know what nature, the bathroom was filthy, there were insects that ran away everywhere as soon as we turned on the light!||Staying there even for an hour would have meant catching some disease! I wouldn't have let even a dog sleep there!||I IMMEDIATELY went back to the Reception but there was no one there. I called, knocked, shouted, but nothing. In the end I called the number written on a piece of paper on the desk but no one answered.||I tried to go back into the room to take a video too but the magnetic key WOULD NOT OPEN ANYMORE! After almost an hour, being late and having a girlfriend who wasn't feeling well, I went to another structure further away but decent.|| The next morning I came back and found the same person who had checked me in the night before, I told him everything but he said they don't give refunds, I should have said it right away as soon as I saw the room! I told him that's what I tried to do but he pretended nothing had happened and said the property doesn't refund. ||THIS MEANS STEALING! ||It's really a disgrace to have this crap on booking! Also when you call BOOKING they say they tried to contact the property, but if they don't answer the first time then they can't do anything about it! WHAT KIND OF MATTER WOULD THIS BE? BOOKING ADVERTISES THESE THIEVES, PROFITS FROM IT AND DOES NOTHING IN CERTAIN CASES? THEN IT'S...
