Read moreIf you are looking to enjoy a nice vacation with plenty of activities I will say this is overall a nice resort. DO NOT DO THE TIMESHARE EVENT!!!! Here’s why!
My family and I stayed here from Thursday to Sunday for the July 4th weekend. Initially we booked because I have a friend who has a timeshare here and a rep called on behalf of her as a referral invitation. It was ONLY $99. Of course we will attend for that price. We also received free water park passes as well as our $99 back on a visa gift card upon arrival if we did the timeshare event. I didn’t have a problem with that since we did try that out 5 years ago and the prices were great but we just weren’t ready. This time we actually contemplated buying one. The only reason why we DID NOT is because our tour guide COLTEN OR COLTON LANDES informed us that we were going to go view the condo before we noticed his coworker jumped in the car with him and had another car following us. Why? Because his coworkers car was broke down so he had to do the tour with him as a partner. We never went to the condo. Instead we went to see the scenic overlook that we already viewed the day before. The only reason he took us there is because the family that was touring with his coworker hadnt seen it. What does that have to do with us? He said we were going to see the condo not be a ride along for another family and coworker. Strike one! We finally go view the condo and he says it was going for $35k at $200 a month payment. I asked what was the interest rate and he said 17%. I mentioned that made no financial sense. It would be higher than $200 monthly. Strike 2. Moving along we go back to the lobby where they start pitching the sale and he brings up the pricing for our unit and it said it was $729 a month. Again, I was correct because what happened to the $200 he mentioned smh. He also kept mentioning “if you want to get your gift (the $99 gift card that we paid for attending) we have to listen to him! He also mentioned to us that “there are single parents that can afford it so we should be able to as well”. Strike 3. That was an insult. What he didn’t know is that he was talking to a family that makes well over 6 figures a year but his sales pitch sucked!! He didn’t know how to sell it. He wound up just staring at us when we challenged the information he was giving us that didn’t make logical sense. We asked what is it that we were still doing with him since he was just staring at us. He said since you don’t know what you want to do you can just leave. The tour is ended and you won’t get your gifts and you’ll be paying for your entire stay! Needless to say we politely cussed him out in a professional manner. He stated he didn’t need to be professional because he didn’t work in customer service. He’s stupid. Sales is customer service! I reported him to two different managers including corporate. He also seemed to be under some sort of influence. Like some sort of “upper”. He will also be undergoing a random drug test according to corporate. We don’t buy into it THANKS TO HIM!
The condo was nice for my family of 4. The downfall is the tv in the living room kept losing signal through the day and the unit had no AC! Mind you it was 86-90 degrees this weekend. They sent maintenance out but the issue was never resolved. No fan was ever given either. The living room had a ceiling fan so we had the kids sleep there to keep cool. Other than that the condo was nice with the pleasure of having the deer greet us at our door every morning. That was nice to see.
The resort itself is nice and the staff are pleasant but it’s the sales staff that are from a different type of disrespectful and rude planet. Do not buy into it!
This review would have gotten at least 3 stars if it had not been for the tour guide we had from he** and the condo not having AC.
FYI : after we made the report our $35k condo dropped down to $5k for our experience with a $200 down payment and a monthly payment of $94 according to the lady we spoke with at corporate. What does the big price drop tell you?...
