The day I went they had minimal staff and had run out of items from the menu. Macaroni & Cheese isn’t the biggest deal to me but if I had children with me that would matter. Looking at when I placed the order to when I received my order an hour passed. It was a good thing I didn’t show up very hungry. There is no human interaction when placing the order, it’s all by kiosk. They lost points from me because that’s a personal preference getting to interact with someone or ask questions. After waiting the hour to get my food it was actually a lot better than I was expecting. The pizza had good flavor and the brisket was both flavorful and not dry. Unfortunately, during my wait I decided to take the food back to where I was staying. It was unfortunate because it was good after some time had passed, so I bet it would have been better fresh. There were seven others that placed orders I knew there as well and they all experienced issues with their orders. One in my party ordered a salad and the cashier was the only one making them. When asked when the salad would be ready he realized it was his job and that he would have to take a break from the register to make it. The salad took an hour and twenty plus minutes from ordering to receiving. Another of our party ordered chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese and they ran out of both. This issue was they never notified our friend they were out. She waited over an hour and a half to learn they were out of supply. This place has promise if they can manage to stay stocked and hire enough staff to get orders out in a reasonable time. The food that night really was good. They just made far too many mistakes and took way too long for me to return anytime soon. Lastly, the place was busy, but no more so than other restaurants in the same niche so I can’t say that is or was a reason for the night going how it did.

I realize things are different with takeout instead of dine-in but reading the multitude of bad reviews now makes me wish I had done that before ordering dinner last night. Looking for close takeout here at the resort, we ordered from the menu posted online. We paid $76 for four meals, which isn't necessarily outrageous until you see this chicken and waffles entree that was $13.50 for a small frozen and reheated meal with no side. And that's exactly what this chicken was and probably also the flat, one sided waffle like bread. We had a bland pizza as well. The only part really worth eating was the smoked chicken but definitely no part of the meal was anything to eat again. We spent $20 less at Cracker Barrell tonight and the food was good and no one was able to finish the meals because the portions were larger. I can't comment on the staff as only ordered over the phone as takeout and I am sure everyone is doing the best they can under the circumstances but seeing the amount of past complaints means clearly there is an ongoing problem not being addressed.

This is my wife and I first time visiting Massanutten. During our stay, we decided to visit a local restaurant. We didn’t think to check the reviews but figured we’d give it a try and see if it was worth the price and stay. My wife ordered the pulled chicken Sandwich with fries And I ordered the brisket platter with mac & cheese and collard greens. My wife’s pulled chicken Was good and hot as my brisket was. My brisket was a tad bit on the dry side, but other parts were tender and juicy. My wife stated that her fries were not good at all. They tasted very old. Like they had been sitting for a while. My collard greens Had an OK temperature and a really great flavor. My mac & cheese were super dry and bland. This was very unsettling. We arrived at 8 o’clock and the place closed at nine. This will probably be our first and last time visiting. I will say the staff was very nice, but hopefully they will do better with the food even at a late hour.

Wow! I went into Virginia Barbeque & Pizza Co thinking that I would get some generic BBQ. After all, you don't find pizza at a REAL barbeque joint. Talk about succeeding off of low expectations. Two of the boys got a Carnivore Pizza, my daughter got a pork plate, my wife ordered the fried catfish, and I went with a half rack of ribs with the South Carolina mustard based BBQ sauce.

Let me preface this next comment by saying that I am a rib FIEND. I love ribs and am quite particular about them. A good rib needs to be pull off the bone tender but not so tender that it is falling off. The rub needs to have a good flavor profile. And the sauce must be well executed.

These ribs were BIG. I mean really big. Especially when they were baby backs. So, for what I paid, $17, this was a good value. The mustard sauce was very good. My only critique was that I only got a little bit of it in in a portion cup. Otherwise they hit all of my criteria. Actually, they knocked it out of the park.

My boys loved the pizza. One commented on the ham that was on it. My wife and daughter loved their plates as well.

I didn't expect much because it is right off of the Massanutten check in lobby. I was pleasantly surprised. When you check in, get one of their to-go menus. I found out that they will deliver on the resort property if they have a driver that day.

If you want genuine barbecue or good pizza, this is a great eat in or delivery option. Give them a try. You won't be...

Update: 7/7/2023 once again we gave this place a chance, once again we were very disappointed, food not very good, service non-existent & very high prices. If u want to waste your time & money, try this place, oh yeah, they advertise they deliver but they don't, always some reason why they can't deliver. Their are much better places around to get good food from, (even food lion & make it yourself), but try them if you don't believe this review, BTW you will always have to go the next day for them to report your reward points so save your receipt, otherwise you will get no reward points from this place, we have had to go the next day everytime since they started the rewards thing, of course we have asked them several times when we're there but always had to go back the next day, not for food but to get them to do what they said they would do? 2022: We have eaten there before a few years ago food was okay, recently we visited there again 3 different times of the day, food not okay, it says it's known for it's pizza but it was the worst Pizza we've ever tasted, even the kids didn't want none of it, service is good for what little service there is, menu is very confusing, prices are astronomical for what you get and the quality...
