Woodstone Meadow — Hotel in Elkton

Massanutten Resort overall is a great place. It's a massive resort with lots that could go wrong. We had Internet problems at one of our units and since I was on a working vacation, wifi was an imperative. I called in about it and was told the nature of the problem. The next day we were still having issues. I went to the front desk and explained our troubles and that I'd need a conference room or some place where I could have private calls. The front desk put me in touch with someone to email and reserve conference room (no charge). Jeff copied several other staff on the email thread (maintenance, technician, etc) so that the issue could be worked in from several points. I was happy for this coordinated effort! The Internet issues were resolved before my calls later that day so I never had to use the conference room. This was the most critical issue I had while staying at Massanuttan for two weeks. Everything else went well. It snowed heavily there and landscaping/maintenance cleared the roads extremely well. I was impressed at the amount of equipment and the long hours to get on top of the accumulating snow. If your unit is missing something or you need something, the Replacement department is there to help out. I played a lot of racquet ball, rode stationary bikes and lifted weights. This was during COVID and the facilities were fairly well managed for distancing, etc. They had sanitizing wipes, etc also. Nice hiking trails up on the mountain. Overall, great experience....

I love this place and the location. It’s a great getaway for the family.

Being particular - just because I want this place to be good for years to come - the trash. It’s the heathen guests, I know. But, Woodstone’s employees have to react and pick up after the negligent ones to keep the place well-maintained.

There were many employee vehicles traversing the property, which could have picked up at some point throughout the days. Note: Some lazy visitors threw their trash on the back porch and it stayed there for two full days.

Inside, the units are decent. No complaints about the furniture. We experienced some dirty sheets upon our arrival. There were some brown stains right under where our pillows were. Unbelievable that this was missed, so super sketch on the housekeeping. The maintenance team assisted by bringing replacement sheets shortly after we had asked them.

I like the location. It’s supposedly an employee-owned operation. The upkeep of the older buildings, vehicles can use a touch up or two.

I hope it’s better the next time! Not giving up on them yet. Awesome place for families...

This trip was free because we took a time share tour last year at pigeon forge. Our 1 bedroom condo was spacious, well stocked with kitchen necessities. But you could hear every step from the people above us. Toilet constantly ran. Shower never got "hot". The thinnest cheap bedspread ive ever had in a hotel/resort. Couldnt even sit on the pull out bed, nevermind try to sleep on it. Had to go buy an air mattress. Most attractions close at 7. Food was so overpriced I can't even explain! Had a checklist of things to do at checkout....remove sheets, put linens in hallway, etc. Won't...
